Gorgeous, Hugo!
Could you describe the lighting in that pic? For the life of me, I can't get the polyps to pink-up like that on mine![]()

I recently sold a frag pack with the Pink Lemonade as one of the corals and my prices came to $34 per coral with many of the corals being Tyree LE's. You know, I see both sides but I do not begrudge any hobbyist selling their corals for whatever they choose to sell it for. The bottom line is supply and demand and we are all adults making our own finacial decisions. I have a waiting list 6 deep for frags from my colony, some for trade some for cash...definately a lot lower than the going rate. I bought my frag last summer for over $100 and I was most happy to have it in my collection. I really like the coral. I will most certainly make my money back and then some in time. I have also given away a frag to a friend...but in truth we always give each other corals so it is more like a trade. That is what the hobby is all about, giving, trading, and selling. I find nothing wrong with making a little cash back on my corals. In the end it helps offset some of the costs to keep up a tank.

For some one to say that this coral is just another coral is crazy. That is absolutely beautiful...
I would love to know where you have this placed in your tank, how far from the lights and the kind of lights you have along with the type of flow you have it in?
“For those of you who have bought this coral and sold a frag for close to if not all of what you paid for it, shame on you!!â€Â

...The prices are the way they are because people are willing to pay for it. You can either buy it or not. But if you chose not to buy it, don’t raise your judgmental nose to the people who decide it’s worth buying.
Why as being a hobbyist, am I all of a sudden now responsible to make my hobby more affordable to every other hobbyist? Because that is what it really boils down to - weather you can afford to buy a coral and enjoy watching it grow out like the rest of us or not. Don’t give me the BS about propagating existing captive corals to save wild corals. Do you know how much green house gasses are created by our inefficient home aquariums? With the hundreds of watt light bulbs, pumps, heaters and the chillers we need to cool them down with. Please if you really want to save wild corals, start first by taking your aquarium down and reducing the CO2 output that’s causing the ocean’s temperatures to increase.

Karl, Why don't you run a combo 20K and 10K, maybe 20K and 14K. Do you only run one light??? Maybe you do, I am trying to imagine your lighting setup from the last time I was at your place.
