Hi everyone

I am running out of space and need to be very selective with my additions to the reef. I am looking for Sps that are pink or purple but can't really find anything that isn't really uncommon.

Can you guys and Gail's post pictures of your exotic pinks or purple acroporas so I can see what's out there? I already have a rasberry pink looking Millie with orange tips so Millie's are not on my list. I did see something called reefraft oblivion but there stuff is always over photoshopped so I can't trust there pictures.

But if you have it and it's really pink by all means post a picture. I also did see something called pink panther but can't find it anywhere. There has to be others acroporas that are pink just can't find them. So with that said can you please post away so I can find some new treasures for my reef.

DFS Pink Diamonds, it was frag of the month for August 2013, I believe

Red Dragon is pretty pink imop.

That pink diamond is nice. I thought about getting it a few times, but was always on the fence. It looks better in your photos then it does in theirs. I think I may have to use my DD credit ^_^

I have a pink divaricata that is about the pinkest sps coral I've seen. I've had it for a long time and it is encrusting but the branches are slow growing for me. I haven't bothered to take a pic but I'll take one soon and post it.

Battlecorals has your pink panther but price is up there, they also have one called crimson bliss thats super pink/red and reasonable. How about Tyree's Tierra Del Fuego?

If you can look past the "uncommon" part of your request I'd look for a nice Pink or purple stylo. They can be real show stoppers for color.

My pink rainbow Stylo blows away my Pink panther for brightness. A frend of mine has two large colonies of purple stylos and they put every LE coral in his tank to shame. Your eyes go right to those Stylos because they are shockingly brilliant.

Your right I over looked this one and may add to to the list but can you share a picture of the pink panther as this is what had me start the thread because couldn't find one.

This is a picture of the mother colony in my friends tank. This is the original Dr. Foster Smith Pink Panther.

When our club visited Divers Den, Kevin Kohen gave their last frag to my friend and he grew it out to this colony.

I have a nice Aussie frag I am growing that is very pink, it gets blue tips but unfortunately none of my corals have the blue tips because of lighting changes and other stuff. I will get a better pic of this piece later today.

Here is my favorite coral which has pink polyps and pink sections. But really much of it is blue, along with goldish and neon green colors, when its at it best. But right now it's mostly pink with blue tips :(
Forgive me I am somewhat colorblind so if my posts are not pink I am sorry!

I have commented on this picture before it's an amazing Sps and when I first seen it I thought it was purple monster.

So now there are two pink panthers out there

Are you talking about my second picture?
The first is probly the pinkest acro I have seen yet. I almost I forgot I had it! I cut one frag for gsw3 in hopes of not loosing it as well as a huge branch of the second picture which I call my "bad azz acro" :) We will see what he can do with them!

Ok, I am confused on the "two pink panther" comment. Why did you say now there are two pink panthers out there?

There is a pink panther from wet thumbs and that was what I was originally pursuing. Now I see that this is another pink panther that is proabally been around longer. I am almost positive that there is another one called pink panther or something like that. I will post some links soon. But I surprised that there really isn't that many pinks out there.

I see, thanks for clearing that up. Yea seems like a true pink acro is kinda hard to find. I am happy that the brown Aussie frag turned into a nice pink for me :) by the way I mounted it onto a mariculture base so don't let that fool you hahah...

The most purple SPS I've seen is the ATL Purple Godzilla. It's a very dark purple and a little bit of purple to throw in the mix - it's very very purple! As for pink, I have my Red Planet in recovery and it's very pink. I read that if it's blasted with light it will turn pink. I can vouch for this.

My pics were taken with an iPhone4 so they're not great quality. The Red Planet frag looks like a purplish/pink in the picture but in actuality it's a very bright pink.
