Not all isopods are bad. Sphaeromatids, look similar to cirolanids, but can curl into a ball when touched. Cirolanids can not. Sphaeromatid isopods are harmelss detriivores.

thanks looks like they are copepods..Harpacticoid maybe ? I hope there not bloodsucking ones lol they are so small right now they look like grains of salt that move lol

found this growing on one of my dry LR that I have in my DT for about 2 months now. Does not seem to grow very fast but I don't think it was there when I put the stone in at the beginning. I moved it up closer to the light as it seems like a coral but then that is me talking out of my...



If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would highly appreciate it. Just want to make sure that I give this guy the right support for growth.

yes those are pods. i don't think they cause cloudiness, but those definitely look like pods that i have.

Those are harmless sphaeromatid isopods.
