Very interesting looking little crab guy. No idea how reef safe he might be. but a shot of his claws might tell you something by his claw shape. Can anyone help identify this little guy? It's about the size of m&m. Was attached on a leather from lfs. Good? Bad? Thank you,
Pineapple spongeI found this new thing today and I am not sure what it is. I have never seen one so I hope someone can identify.
Hidden cup coral, Phyllangia americana.
Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this in but i recently found tiny critters in my sand bed. I've been running a 15 gal nano tank with two clownfish & rocks for about 5 months. They are a little larger than a grain of sand and slightly elongated. They have either translucent or brown bodies, its hard to tell because of their small size. I noticed them because I had a snail flipped over and saw they were covering him. I set him upright but suspect that he's dead. What could these critters be? Should I be trying to get rid of them? Any info helps a lot!
I found this today. its a tiny little white dot that seems to be a snail with 2 antenna
Ok.... I understand fish and such but these things aren't even snails... I took the rocks out this morning and they are completely hard meaning they are probably some sort of fan worm like I suspected. They were scraped off and ground up with a knife and flushed. Don't get all sentimental on me over a freaking parasite.
This has nothing to do with sentimentality - many things wind up in local ecosystems that don't belong there like algae etc.. Take the above advice it is important.
Hi everyone, I have a few hitchhikers I'm not sure about, even after going through this whole thread.

This guy opens and closes, and has a big thick rubbery looking foot. It doesn't move around.

Shot of it open.

And this thing might be a majano? It was on the live rock last night, and now it's on the floor of the tank and definitely moving, albeit extremely slowly. It has one little arm that's longer than the rest of it. Sorry it's not quite in focus. If you need a better picture I can scoop it out of the tank and try again.
Thank you so much!
Hammer coral. LPS in euphyllia family. lucky you!Got a much better picture of the majano-lookin' thing. It's no longer moving. I think a starfish may have detached it.

Still not sure what the first guy is either.
Thanks again!
