29 gallon
Led light
Heater
Peppermint shrimp
Cleaner shrimp
Bicolor angel
Hermits
Snails
Wish list
1 or 2 clowns
Maybe a bubble tip anemone (yes or no?)
1 other small fish (suggestion?)

Depending on the species of clown, you may or may not be able to add other fish. A bicolor angel is one of the more difficult of the small angels and is not reef safe.

Looking to stock 2 or 3 more fish. 125g with few lps and sps
any suggestion to add a couple more?

Currently-
Clown pair
Yellow tang
Blue tang
Coral beauty
Mandarin

Considering-
Mckoskers wrasse
Scott fairy wrasse
Red head Solon wrasse
Bartlett anthias
Bi color Benny
Box fish
Pinkbar goby
Sleeper head

Currently-
Clown pair which species?
Yellow tang
Blue tang If you have a yellow tang and a hepatus tang that will eventually be a problem
Coral beauty
Mandarin

Considering-
Mckoskers wrasse
Scott fairy wrasse one of the most aggressive fairy wrasses
Red head Solon wrasse one of the more aggressive fairy wrasses
Bartlett anthias
Bi color Benny
Box fish difficult
Pinkbar goby
Sleeper head creates sand storms and eventually may starve when the sand is depleted

I have a few corals and the bicolor doesn't touch any of them. He was in a tank with coral at the Lfs.what is a less aggressive clown?

i have an undulated trigger and a spotted grouper, moving up to a 300 g sw, what suggestions does anyone have to add to these guys or should i make changes with them?

This thread is an expert thread answered only by RC staff, in this case, me. If you want discussion, post your question in the Aggressive fish forum. Undulated triggers are incredibly aggressive and all groupers eat fish smaller than itself. We do not provide recommendations for aggressive tanks. Sorry.

Not sure the clown fish species, sorry
Probably going with mckosker wrasse and Bartlett anthias. Looking for one more below.

Reconsidered list-
Hi fin red banded goby
Blue spotted watchmen goby
Black cap Bassett

Hi fin red banded goby
Blue spotted watchmen goby requires cooler temperatures for best long term success
Black cap Bassett

either of the other two would be fine.

You mentioned that the Scott fairy and red head salon wrasse are aggressive. Are they aggressive towards other fish, corals or both. I like the red head salon but if they can potentially pick corals or at other fish I will just go with mckosker. Can you expand on what you mean by aggressive?

All fairy and flasher wrasses are reef safe. C. scottorum is very aggressive towards other fish, especially other wrasses, and C. solorensis is aggressive towards other fish, especially other wrasses. Both lose some coloration absent a female.

Working on setting up my 125g tank. Currently it has about a 50g sump that will not have any LR or macro algae in. In a few months I would like to setup a 40g breeder tank as a remote fuge that gravity drains back into the DT.

QT tank is a 20g long tank.

I currently have 2 small tank bread Percula clownfish that were raised locally in QT (Only had them 5 days and they are small). One of the clowns is just slightly bigger than the other and they are doing great together right now.

My stocking plans are:
2 percula clownfish
1 flame angel
1 blue hippo tang (I know a 125g is border line for these fish) - at least 1 yrs after tank is setup
1 yellow tang (possibly)
5 purple anthias
1 mandarin - at least 1.5 yrs after remote refuge is setup
1 cleaner shrimp
?? CUC

I want to take things slow as this is my first saltwater tank. After the clowns get out of QT (will be in there for 5 to 6 weeks) what would your recommendation be for next fish purchase? Thinking about the yellow tang or purple anthias next. Have any better suggestions than what is listed above?

1 yellow tang (possibly) aggressive recommend it be added last
5 purple anthias purple queen anthias are expert level fish and should not be tried unless you can meet their requirements
1 mandarin - at least 1.5 yrs after remote refuge is setup

Hi,

I just set my tank up, but I'm trying to get an idea of what all I can put it in so I can design it accordingly. I have a 10 gallon with a .75 gallon refugium (will be attached once I buy the pump this week). If I don't have a specific species listed, I'm not terribly picky because I think they all look cool. I figured I would put the dream wishlist up and then make a do-able list. Thanks for the help!

This is my wish list:
Fish:
Firefish Goby
Ocellaris Clownfish
2 Red Spotted Gobies

Inverts:
Astraea Conehead Snail (How many?)
2 Shrimp
Dwarf Colored Feather Duster
Anemone (condy variety?)

Corals:
Polyps
mushrooms
sea fans

That is too much fish for that sized tank. Depending on the species of clown, once sexually mature, they will take over the tank. Subtract the chromis and you may be fine. Remember that firefish WILL jump so your tank must be covered and egg crate will not work.
