lion, dwarf angel, tang, clownfish?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

in a 55 gal, would these guys likely coexist peacefully or not so much? have a fallow tank, started in march, 62 lbs liverock, so i am starting from scratch and am thinking about trying some or all of said combo.

The lionfish would be happy, the other inhabitants would become dinner.

29 Biocube, no fish yet. I'm thinking a royal gramma plus a clown goby. Any issues between these guys? I'm thinking anything similar looking to the royal gramma would fight with it.

Thanks!

Those two would be fine together. You might look at possum wrasses as cohabitants.

Currently in the planning stages of a 75g mixed reef, with 15g sump. I've had a marine tank a few times before, however always had to dismantle them. This time I'm in a postion to make it permenant so I'm trying to get something that I will be happy with long term.

When I tried last I wasnt aware of the internet resources, and just had to take lfs advice. This meant I had to learn from my mistakes (including a clown trigger).

Would you mind commenting on my current desired fish list (in order of additon).

1. Amphiprion ocellaris - Ocellaris Clownfish x2 (mated pair)

2.Dendrochirus brachypterus - Fuzzy dwarf lion (I know you dont comment on aggresive tanks so I'm aware comment is bioload only.)

3. Chelmon rostratus - Copperband butterfly (9-12 months old tank I'm happy to stock slowly and plan on keeping reefugium in sump)

4. Centropyge loriculus - Flame Angel

If I have room in the tank I would also like to add one or two of the following (I dont want a heavy load)

a. 2nd flame angel (at the same time as a pair)
b. Siganus unimaculatus - One spot foxface
c. Paracentropyge Multifasciata - multibar angel (would be added between the CCB and flame)

advice welcome

4. Centropyge loriculus - Flame Angel

If I have room in the tank I would also like to add one or two of the following (I dont want a heavy load) There is sufficient biocapacity. These come from different locations with slightly different coloration. A pair is possible

a. 2nd flame angel (at the same time as a pair)
b. Siganus unimaculatus - One spot foxface
c. Paracentropyge Multifasciata - multibar angel (would be added between the CCB and flame) there are threads about this fish; I am not sure I would do this with a pair of flames

advice welcome

Thank you Snorvich! I love possum wrasses but hadn't thought of that.

If I recall correctly, there are three species, all of which share similar behavioral characteristics. While uncommon, I do see them for sale with reasonable frequency.

I have two false Percula Clowns. Would they be ok with a Royal Gramma and vice-versa?

Edit: I have a 14gallon Biocube. What is the max amount of fish I can have? Is it 3 or 4? If 4, any other additional suggestions for a nice colorful fish?

I am looking to add 3 small Pajama cardinals to my tank as well as 2-3 small Hippo Tangs. This is a mixed reef system in a 90 gallon tank. All of my corals are frags with the exception of the Wellso. Looking for any suggestions as to compatibility. I would also like to add an angel some time soon but know that most are not reef safe, any suggestions on this species?

My current tank has the following inhabitants:

2 small yellow tail damsels
1 small/med blue fin damsel
1 small/med Hippo Tang (intend to catch and place in sump prior to introducing the other 2)
Coral Banded star small
Green Serpent star Large
2 Peppermint shrimps

As for corals I have the following:
Frog Spawn
Hammer
Wellso Brain,
Zoas
Favia
Umbrella
Star polyps

Sorry, no additional fishes in a 14 gallon tank

1 - 2 Firefish must be a M + F
1 - Long Nose Hawk will eat your shrimp, otherwise the stocking list and order are fine

1 - Clown
1 - Coral Beauty

Hi Steve, I have a 120 (4' reef) currently stocked with the following...

Chevron Tang (4.75")
Powder Blue Tang (3")
2 Occ Clowns
2 Bartlett Anthias
1 Dispar Anthias
2 skunk shrimp
gratilla urchin
crocea clam

I'm thinking of adding 3 wrasses and QT'ing all 3 together in a 20L if it's doable...

Radiant
Cosmetus
Solar

The Powder Blue is very well behaved. He doesn't go after a thing.

The Chevron on the other hand... he can be a bossy SOB. He does go after the PBT and the clowns. He charges them, but he's never harmed them. He just wants them out of his "zone" which can at times be the whole tank.

Any issues with the new stock?

I'm thinking it's safe to say the Chevron is going to go after the new wrasses, that's why I'm thinking adding 3 simultaneously would work to an advantage... let him spread the "love" a little.

As for QT'ing 3 wrasses simultaneously... I'm hoping this will help with the solar, as I know they can tend to be more aggressive.

As you have figured out, C. solorensis is the higher risk. I would suggest tank transfer of all three, hoping to diffuse that potential problem. Otherwise, the Chevron may chase but I do not anticipate long term issues. The cosmetus is a sand sleeper.
