Hi,
I'm setting up a 24 gallon tank, with an in-tank sump. I have a tunze 9002 skimmer, maxi-jet powerhead, in tank media rack, 20lbs reef saver rock with lots of holes for hiding places, 2" sand bed, and a Coralife Lunar Aqualight HO T5 Aquarium Light Fixture. I currently have:
1- Ocellaris Clownfish, Tank Bred
4- Dwarf Zebra Hermit Crab
1- Super Tongan Nassarius Snail
1- Turbo snail
While this thread is only about marine fish compatibility, you should know that hermit crabs will kill snails for their shells so it is best to choose snails or crabs but not both.
I'm thinking about eventually adding: (not at once!)
1- Blue/green chromis
1- either yellow watchman goby, or yellow clown goby (leaning more toward the clown goby, since they stay fairly small)
1- firefish
What do you guys think?
This thread is only answered by Reef Central Staff. That plan should work fine. Firefish jump so you will need a covered tank with 1/4 inch holes
I have put a lot of thought into this, and am open to any suggestions. I'm thinking that 4 fish may be too much of a bio-load, so I may eliminate one choice.
Your bio-load should be fine. The clownfish once sexually mature (it will become female) may object to the chromis behaviorally since both are damsels.
Oh almost forgot, I am planning on doing some small corals, but from what I have researched these fish are reef safe.
Yes, all fish are coral safe
