20 Gallon Tall, Aquaclear 50 (being converted into a refugium) 2x Koralia Nano 425s, no sump, 20lbs sand, 15lbs live rock

1x yellow watchman goby
1x Red firefish
2x Ocellaris clownfish

would this be too much for a 20 gallon tall with weekly water changes?

The issue is behavior rather than bioload. Clownfish (of this species) once sexually mature will be aggressive and really want to control 25 gallons of tank space. As such the firefish will be intimidated. The watchman goby and (presumably) the alpheus randall shrimp should be fine. The firefish, probably not.

Looks like ill have to do some research on more peaceful clowns or go without the firefish. Thank you for your input Steve!

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However, I am always happy to review stocking plans for compatibility provided you supply tank size and a total stocking list.

Ok, sorry.
It's a 65 gallon and stocking list is:
1 Mandarin
1 McCoskers Flasher wrasse
1 Helfrichi firefish
1 Fromia starfish
1 miniture blue leg hermit crab
8 lettuce Nudibrachs ( attempting to breed)
Did you need a list of corals and macroalgae too?

I'd like a pearly jaws jawfish (1);
barnacle bennies (4 or 5);
a blue chromis ( do they get that disease that blue green chromis tend to get?)

I've read that for a wrasse to keep his color he needs another wrasse to display at. So i was thinking of a fairy wrasse. Would a Rhomboid wrasse be ok?

If I get another wrasse, could I fit in an Assessor too?

Thank you so much.

Ok, sorry. No problem. I want to give you the best answers so I need that information.
It's a 65 gallon and stocking list is:
1 Mandarin Marginal in this sized tank, hopefully the tank is mature, at least 9 months
1 McCoskers Flasher wrasse
1 Helfrichi firefish
1 Fromia starfish
1 miniture blue leg hermit crab
8 lettuce Nudibrachs ( attempting to breed)
Did you need a list of corals and macroalgae too?

I'd like a pearly jaws jawfish (1);
barnacle bennies (4 or 5);
a blue chromis ( do they get that disease that blue green chromis tend to get?) Uronema. They have been coming in recently with this. So there is some risk.

I've read that for a wrasse to keep his color he needs another wrasse to display at. So i was thinking of a fairy wrasse. Would a Rhomboid wrasse be ok? You would need a larger tank for a pair of fairy wrasses.

If I get another wrasse, could I fit in an Assessor too? But an assessor (blue or gold) would be fine.

Thank you so much.

What would be the better choice for me? Diamond goby, or the yellow head sleeper goby?
I have a 180g that has been running for over a year. I currently have no type of goby. I have a shallow sand bed, I also have a 50 gallon sump with refugium and a large population of pods.

Assuming no other shrimp gobies (more than one cannot coexist long term), the diamond goby is a far better choice for a variety of reasons.

How prone is a diamond goby to jumping?

ALL fish can jump. It is hard to predict whether a given fish will jump without knowing the circumstances. Some fish, such as flasher and fairy wrasses have a high propensity for jumping but may never do so unless the proper circumstances present. Since you did not present your entire stocking list, I cannot accurately assess, but even if you did, that would not be definitive.

You will be able to have one or two small non-aggressive fish. Please check here before you decide. Clownfish need about 25 gallons.

55 Gallon tank
10 gallon sump
skimmer, bioballs, sump pump, whatever other supplementals I made need. Like the calcium feeders?
80 lbs of live sand and 10 lbs of live rock.

Im starting all over this time saltwater so Im still in the reading part. I haven't even bought the sand or rock yet. Just throwing my ideas out there any help is greatly appreciated.

Clean up crew would be 2 Nassarius snails, 2 Trochus snails, and a Emerald Green crab.

Im married to 2 Amphiprion clarkii. Trying to find maybe 1 or 2 more at most to go along with them. Say one Chromis opercularis and one Ecsenius stigmatura.

A more "natural habitat" and less Fish per gallon is the way I intend to head. End game would be to have an Macrodactyla doreensis. From what I understand I'm a good ways away from that needing a year long mature tank.

As long as you limit tank mates, that plan should be fine. Note that the A. clarkii will be aggressive.

Hello

75gal (48"x22"x18")
Moderate Flow
3in sand bed
10 gal sump w/skimmer
lps and softies

Have:
2 Black Onyx True Percs
2 Peppermint Shrimp
1 Cleaner shrimp

Want:
Scooter blenny
Watchman goby

I currently have the following in a mature 28g Nano Mixed Reef:

1 - Longnose Hawk
1 - Royal Gramma
1 - Purple Firefish

Would I be able to add a Green or Spotted Mandarin to the mix? I understand the issues with feeding them but if it's possible to add safely, I would like to purchase an ORA Tank Raised Mandarin that would eat frozen foods as well as seeding pods on a monthly basis as well.

That will work fine. Ideally the scooter blenny (which is not a blenny but a dragonet) should be introduced when the tank is about 9 months mature

ORA tank raised mandarins are a roll of the dice. Some do not do well. All dragonets eat frozen, but they exist primarily on copepods since they eat constantly and the nutritional value is different than frozen or other prepared foods. I recommend against trying any dragonet in this sized tank.
