55 gallon tank
50lbs of LR and limestone
Will be adding corals
Misc. snails, and eventually shrimp (no hermits)

2 black and white a. Oscellaris clownfish
1 Coral Beauty, lemon peel or Flame Angel
2 Blue Gudgeon Dartfish (Ptereleotris heteroptera)
Mimic Saddle Puffer (Paraluterus prionurus)
Kaudern's Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni)(only if I cannot get wrasses)

I would really like to have a MFF of wrasse, but 1 will do. Are there any that you do not have to feed three times a day? I read it somewhere, and I just do not know if they are trying to get me to buy more food, or if that is how they really are.

I know you do not like suggesting fish, but is there maybe one other fish with lots of color I could add, or is this too many? I like the wrasses as mentioned.

Wrasses do not have to be fed three times per day (you may be thinking about some anthias). Flasher wrasses are excellent but they will jump unless you have a covered tank as will dartfish. No dwarf angel is reef safe with meaty LPS corals. You are wise to avoid crabs, snails and other clean up such as shrimp work out better.

So instead of cardinals maybe a pair or mff of flasher wrasse or fairy? I dont want to overload my tank

A pair of flasher wrasses would be fine, but I would not do fairy wrasses as they require more room. Cardinals are sort of boring compared to the behavior of flashers.

Hello everyone
My tank is 90 gallons with about 100 pounds of live rock.
I have a 20 gallon sump/fug with live rock rubble and macro.
Skimmer and reactor running gfo.
Lightning consists of two 250w MH and t5 actinics.
Current fish are false percs x2, chromis, coral beauty, and a skunk cleaner shrimp.
Clean up crew is snails, two hermit crabs, and brittle star
Corals are mostly soft accept for monti cap. And all fish have been with me for over a year

I am seeking advice on a peaceful but colorful wrass
I would also like suggestions on any other fish that will go well with my setup. Thank you

I have a 120 gal tall mixed 30 gal sump w/refugium. 80lb of sand and live rock. My tank has been up 6 weeks and I am in my diatom bloom. My cleanup crew still has a lot of work to do. I have a pair of clowns.

I want the following:
5 green Chromis
5 blue Chromis
2 fire fish gobys
1 McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
1 Green Wrasse
1 Foxface Rabbitfish(hopefully this will help with the diatoms?)
1 Madarin
1 Blue Tang

What order? I will be keeping corals.

Oh and also I am considering ordering this clean crew to add to my existing red legged hermit crab, turbos, Cerith, and Astraea snails.

30 Blue Leg Hermit Crabs

5 Red Leg Hermit Crabs

2 Emerald Crabs

1 Starfish

20 Nassarius Snails

20 Cerith Snails

In this thread we give feedback on fish compatibility with each other and the environment that hyou are providing. If you provide a stocking plan, we will be happy to comment.

I want the following:
5 green Chromis Unfortunately these will reduce themselves to one or at most two
5 blue Chromis Unfortunately these will reduce themselves to one or at most two
2 fire fish gobys For more than one, mujst be a male + female for long term compatibility
1 McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
1 Green Wrasse
1 Foxface Rabbitfish(hopefully this will help with the diatoms?)
1 Madarin Be sure your tank is at least 7u months mature
1 Blue Tang Hepatus tangs really need a larger tank

What order?

Except for the mandarin, which should be last, always introduce the most aggressive last

I will be keeping corals.

I have stated all the inhabitants of my aquarium and asked for advice on which wrass would be best suitable for my current aquarium. If me asking for advice on other fish was not supposed to be posted here I apologize. But I am still seeking advice on a wrass. Thank you

Hello,

Quick question.....
I have a 40G breeder and a 25G sump,

I already have a Valenciennea puellaris in there, and he's great, now I just got asked if I wanted a second one for free...... he's smaller (2 inch) and mine is about 3 inch

Can I put two Valenciennea puellaris ( diamond goby?) in my tank?

Thanks oh great ones

Thanks. Any opinion on the reef cleaner package?

Well, this thread is about fish compatibility. That being said, I am not a big believer in hermit crabs. I prefer various snails, fighting conchs, etc. I do not use emerald crabs as they are opportunistic feeders.

It is not against the rules, I simply do not make recommendations as our tastes and budget will vary. I always promptly provide commentary and any stocking list or fish you select.

Oh great ones? Have we been promoted? :spin2: But to answer your question, they are territorial and only one will survive long term. I tried it without success in a 240 gallon tank hoping that the space would allow for it but without success. My initial one, however, is going on seven years old

The two clowns will take over the tank once sexually mature. I am not really able to recommend a fish that does not jump. If you tell me fish you are interested in, I can give you a read on their suitability.

Just one clown. I'm hesitant to add another since she's been alone for a year.

I'm thinking Flame Angel.
