Ok so right now I have a mini carpet anemone, green star polyps, green button polyps(or zoas, people tell me both names), a kenya tree and some mushrooms. Will my sexy shrimp attack the zoas? I also have a domino damsel and sailfin tang. I want the shrimp to host the mini carpet :)... cuc is assorted snails and a few small hermits

This thread is only about marine fish compatibility. Sorry.

Yes, but that was not the list you supplied. I would insure that that the P. imperator was introduced as a juvenile first and the auriga can go in early along with the P. imperator. The two dwarf angels must be quarantined and introduced together although in a 180 it is less critical. I would make sure the purple tang and chevron are introduced together last. Generally I try to introduce fish in pairs so any potential aggression will be defused and not focus on a single new comer.

Hi Steve'

I want to alter my fish selections:

A pair of Sustainable Aquatics Black Clown
1 - Chevron Tang (Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis) - REMOVE
1 - Emperor Angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator)
1 - Auriga Butterflyfish (Chaetodon auriga) - REMOVE
1 - Red Sea Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)
1 - Magnificent Foxface (Siganus magnificus)
3 - Resplendent Anthias (Pseudanthias pulcherrimus)-REMOVE
1 - Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loriculus)
1 - Multicolor Angelfish (Centropyge multicolor) - REMOVE

would like to add:
1 - Blonde Naso Tang (Naso elegans)
3 - Bartlett's Anthias (Pseudanthias bartlettorum) -1 male 2 female
1 - Moorish Idol (Zanclus canescens)

Need to add one last fish to my tank. Got a goby together with my 2 occelaris clownfish and a blue green chromis, but unfortunately found a small hole in my QT while I was at work so that one was gone.

All the other 3 fishes are living happily in my 28 nano cube DT, I need one last fish and I want to add a McCoskeri Fairy Wrasse Fish, would it be okey to add it with the 2 clownfish and chromis in there? TIA

would like to add:
1 - Blonde Naso Tang (Naso elegans) needs a larger tank
3 - Bartlett's Anthias (Pseudanthias bartlettorum) -1 male 2 female not as desirable as the resplendent as they tend to all turn male
1 - Moorish Idol (Zanclus canescens) a very difficult fish for a beginner

MCoskers are flash wrasses not fairy wrasses. They really need a larger tank as they are "swimmers" and they need a secure top as they jump

My tank is open top 40g 36x14x19 and will have softies. I want four fish and so far I've chosen sixline wrasse and starry blenny along with CUC. What other two fish can you recommend that are hardy enough and colorful? thanks

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However a sixline wrasse will make most additions difficult because of aggression.

I just got the name from this site and I thought my tank is fine since it says minimum is 20g. I have a lid since I have a jbj nano cube led intermediate so no problem with being it as a jumper.

if it really is a wrong idea, will be back for another fish to check if it is okey.
thanks

I have a 72 gallon bowfront aquarium that was set up (by the previous owner) for four years. Ive had it running for a little over a week now. I'm looking to add some more fish.

The tank:
72 gallon bow
80 lbs live rock
~80 lbs live sand
mushroom coral
~2000 gph of flow from powerheads
1400 gph overflow (dont know the specs of the return pump, nothing is listed on it).
Sump that holds somehwere around 20 gallons (its a proclear aquatics pro 300 sump)
SRO 1000-int (should be in this week, currently using the skimmer included in the pro300 sump, but its kinda junk).

Current inhabitants:
blue tang (almost big enough to start looking for a new home for this guy)
clown fish
6 line wrasse
sea urchin
lots of snails and hermit crabs
4 sea cucumbers
a few sea stars

What would yall suggest to add? I like the flame angle but heard its best to add it last. Other ones i was looking at would be either the blue or green chromis. Ive read the "blue reef" chromis are really more black. I have a black background so that doesnt sound very good. Anyways, i am open to the expert suggestions.

90 GAL Stock list:

6 Chromis
2 Purple Firefish
2 Maroon Clowns
1 Coral Beauty
1 Diamond Goby

Red Spiny Star Fish
2 Emerald Crabs

Very small RBTA
Frogspawn
GSP
Zoas
Xenia

I have a 20 Gallon Long refugium set up

There are 4 fish that I would like to add to the tank:

Powder Blue
Powder Brown
Green Mandarin (months from now as I need to populate my fuge with pods)
Red Mandarin

Is this ok? Do I need to make some cuts to the team? Would the tangs get along?

Thank you in advance for your time

The recommended tank size for this fish is 50 gallons. Vendors, by in large, recommend tank sizes on the small size since they sell fish. Having a lid and having a tight, jump proof lid, are two completely different issues.

90 GAL Stock list:

6 Chromis will become one or two over time
2 Purple Firefish will be fine if M + F, otherwise will become one
2 Maroon Clowns incredibly aggressive
1 Coral Beauty
1 Diamond Goby

Red Spiny Star Fish depending on species, can take fish
2 Emerald Crabs can take fish

Very small RBTA
Frogspawn
GSP
Zoas
Xenia

There are 4 fish that I would like to add to the tank:

Powder Blue RC's recommended tank size is much larger than the tank you have. Please see here.
Powder Brown RC's recommended tank size is much larger than the tank you have
Green Mandarin (months from now as I need to populate my fuge with pods)
Red Mandarin two mandarins must be of different sexes or they will kill one of them

Is this ok? Do I need to make some cuts to the team? Would the tangs get along? the tangs will not get along together in a tank that is too small for one

Thank you in advance for your time

after reading a few posts back, it seems like the chromis arent the best bet right now so ill leave those out. Open to all suggestions

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However I recommend rehoming the hepatus tang because your tank is way too small and the sixline wrasse because it is aggressive and will limit options going forward.

Hi, tank is 40g 36" long and will have zoas and softies.
My choices;
Starry blenny
Sixline wrasse
Dwarf flame angelfish
If these will work, should I get them at small sizes? thanks

These would work, but the sixline will limit choices going forward due to its aggressive nature.

I will rehome the tang when its gets big enough (as stated in the previous post). The sixline has shown no aggression. But for the sake of moving forward. Say i get rid of those two fish, what then would be recommended?
