Any others? I used to have one of those in an older tank and I'm looking for something new to watch and enjoy I do enjoy the colors of the White Elbi Angel. I am at work so I can only do so much research without getting blocked out so I'm not 100% sure on their tank requirements.

All of them would work in a 30 gallon tank. Research them when you get home as I am sure that you will find one you like

Want to add neon goby to my tank. At the moment the tank have 2 True Percs, one Orchid dottyback and a Yasha Haze Goby. Would there be any issues adding the neon? I have a lot of hiding spaces in the tank and very porous rocks (BRS Pukani).

a neon goby will be fine but be aware that none of your fish will allow cleaning behavior

Thanks snorvich! That is ok. I just wanted to add some more color to the tank and needed a small fish as my last fish until my tank upgrade. Just wanted to make sure none of my current fish would harass the new addition.

I have a 90 gal dt with deep sb, 29 gal sump w protein skimmer, and a 300 gph canister filter. Tank is a reef tank w live rock. Several sps frags and sev mushrooms, hammer, frogspawn corals. Tank is 8 mths old. I have a blue spotted jawfish, baggani cardinal, two fire fish, two false perculas,one mandarin goby, one female lyre tail anthias, and a algae blennie, and a small yellow tang. I know the yellow tang is controversial. I would like to add two chalk bass, a flame angel (willing to chance it), a second mandarin goby or am i already maxed out? So far have been able to keep my ammonia, nitrites and nitrates at 0.

definitely not a second mandarin due to food constraints. A flame angel is rolling the dice but you did not mention corals that are for sure problematic. However the yellow tang may not allow the flame angel.

Hey Steve, you answered me awhile back. Thanks for that. I upgraded before adding more fish. I now have 60g cube.

There is one coral beauty in the tank. Nothing else.

Here is what I would like to end up with:

Pair of black ocellaris
Pair of bangaii cardinals
Coral beauty
Tailspot blenny
Yasha/pistol

If that is good, any more room or suggestions?

That mix is excellent. While I do not do suggestions for a variety of reasons, a pygmy wrasse would go well in that mix

I am about full, by my accounting, with the following fish:
1 Yellow Tang-3 inch
1 Melanarus Wrasse-3 in.
1 Scooter Blennie-1.5 in.
1 Yellow Watchman Goby-1 in.
1 In QT Picasso Clown -1 in.

A nice array of coral, all growing/thriving, including a 6 inch orange tree sponge(which I hear is hard to keep healthy).

55 gal corner tank -60 lbs. LR - 120 lbs live sand
New Tunze 9004 skimmer-
Fluval 405 cannister- no sump.

My 2 questions to all you knowledgeable and experienced aquarists.....
How much do corals add to the bio-load dynamic?
And, does my fish, to tank size ratio, offer a healthy environment?
I am done adding fish when the Clown goes in, btw.
Thoughts/suggestions?

I'd like to put in a bunch of shrimp and crabs, but if im reading correctly the puffer will eat them all. any CUC that is puffer safe? Maybe i should get rid of puffer and put something else in... suggestions?

I personally would have some other fish, but yes, a puffer will potentially eat your CUC

peppermint shrimp true peppermint shrimp are coral safe, but be sure they really are peppermints not camel shrimp

I'd also like a lot of plants...corals are not plants, they are invertebrates I was thinking of filling it up with xenia and green star polyps either of which will take over your tank and become uncontrollable

The firefish most likely hides because the sixline is a bully but your current tank you cannot really add another lyretail. First the recommended tank size for one lyretail anthias is larger than your current tank and when you have two or more anthias of any species, the social interaction requires an even larger tank.

I was thinking on adding a female lyretail...

Hi. I'm new to the hobby and i'm planning to have my first reef tank in a few months/year.
I'm doing a massive work of research to be sure i have all the informations i need to make the good choices. I know patience is very important, that's why i'm planning this as a long term project.

I plan to have a tank that is about 220 gallons. I've done some researches and here is the list of fishes i'd like to have in the tank.

Blue/green reef Chromis
Clownfish
Naso Tang
Midas Blenny
foxface lo
firefish (purple)
court jester goby
clown goby yellow
bellus angelfish
Common Cleaner Wrasse
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
Yellow banded Possum wrasse

Are all these fishes compatibles with each other? With corals? With crustaceans?

If all the fishes are adult size, is the tank overcrowded? Too empty?

I heard you can't have more than 1 tang in a tank, is that corect?

Is there any easy and very interesting fishes i SHOULD consider?

Can I add more more than 1 specimen for any of these species?

Thank you again for the info last time regarding the intro of a choc tang.....worked out great!! Now I am thinking of adding a fox face rabbit fish....maybe a magnificent fox face?

My up to date tank is
75g display with 40g sump
75lbs live rock
3 blue green chromis

1 Chocolate tang
1 dispar anthias
1 blood shrimp
Sps ULNS
Lots of flow!

I would not add a second largish grazer in a 75 gallon tank.

Thank you again for the info! I will not be purchasing another large grazer.....I realize you do not make suggestions but perhaps there is a smaller grazer you would advise? My goal is to add a couple more fish.....my eyes have been on a goby of some sort (maybe a grazer), royal gramma, and my last addition to the tank I plan on making a leopard wrasse....I just thought I would mention the wrasse, goby, and royal gramma so you know where I am going.....or would like to go......so can you advise on a small grazer that would work with my setup even in the future?

I have a clown fish question for you. All though I am about 3 months from getting a pair of small clown fish, I have been researching clown fish alot along with what type of anemone they will host with. I am pretty sure that I'm going to get a bubble tip anemone per they are the hardest from what I have read and for my lighting setup. Also from what I have been reading, BTA's are not from the same region as Ocellaris clowns and True Percula clowns and they may not host together for this reason. But, Maroon clowns will and are form the same region as BTA's. But, also from what I'm reading, you should only have one Maroon clown per tank.

So my question for you is, can I buy a small pair (1.5 to 2 inch) of Gold Stripe Maroon Clowns and have them in the same DT?

or

Should I just buy a small pair of Ocellaris clowns and hope for the best with them hosting with the BTA?
