1 fairy Wrasse what species?

snorvich,

To be honest, I am not 100% sure what species the Fairy Wrasse is. The best I can tell from what I see online; it is a Cirrhilabrus lubbocki. The lFS where I bought it indicated to me that it was a reef safe wrasse and would be compatible with what I had at the time and most importantly - My wife like it.

Thanks for the help,

TOM G

I have a 90g with a 20g sump (~50% full). Right now I've got 2 ocellaris clownfish, 3 pajama cardinalfish, 2 pencil urchins, and 2 small frogspawns. I plan to get a diamond goby, 2 Bangaii cardinalfish, a flame angelfish, and a Kole tang. After that I might do some easy type of coral, but I haven't really done a lot of research on that since it's pretty far in the future. The only reason I have the frogspawn is because they came with the tank and sand. Is there anything I should avoid or watch out for?

Now I'm thinking of acclimating some dalmatian mollies I have by themselves in a freshwater tank and adding them to this tank. I would probably take a few weeks to increase the salinity of their tank before plopping them in the marine tank. Are there ant issues I need to watch out for?

While I have read about mollies in a marine environment, I have no personal experience. As such I cannot advise.

hey steve, i know we always talk fish in this thread and if this isn't an appropriate question, just tell me to shut up.

are sexy shrimp reef safe? i've decided to forgo putting any more fish in my 29g but i wouldn't mind some more inverts. i have just the 2 clowns, orange spotted goby and purple stripe dottyback.

thanks!

Hello everyone!
My set up is as follows:
40 gallon breeder ~ 100 lbs of live rock, 2" sand bed, coralife 125 super skimmer 120 watt 40 X 3 watts led light, 25 gallon sump with a 5 gallon refugium part with planned DSB in refugium and chaetomorpha algae.
My wish list is to have an oscellaris pair with perhaps a pair of banggai cardinals and maybe a flame angel.
It would be soft corals only, a Xenia with some zoas and star polyps for starters.
Sand crew would be Perhaps 2 nassarius snails and 2 cerinth snails.
Any thoughs?

Hey I want to add 1 more fish into my 29gal rectangle long tank. Currently have
Pair of false clowns
Bta
Tail spot Blenny
Wheeler's watchman goby
Cleaner shrimp
Cuc

I have never see the goby. What could I add? Thx in advance
Jack

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide suggestions or recommendations. I am always happy, however, to analyze any stocking plan.

Updated Stocking

Updated Stocking

Hi Steve,
I have made some changes to stocking and would like feedback on the changes. They have been accented in blue to assist you in seeing them.

After moving town I'm starting fresh with my tank and am thinking of a bit of a different stocking and just wanted to run it by your expertise first.

Tank will be a mixed reef with mainly LPS and a few inverts plus fish as follows :-

2x Ocellaris Clownfish (will be infant at purchase)
2x Spotted Cardinalfish
2x Yellowstriped Cardinalfish
1x One Spot Foxface (I'm aware these may nip corals, also a grazer)
1x Flame Angelfish (Also know for nipping corals plus a 2nd grazer, will be adding algae from fuge to tank to supplement)

Inverts--
2x Banded Coral Shrimp must be a mated pair, but they can take fish Thinking about getting some peppermint shrimp instead, maybe 3 or 4?
1x Blue Tuxedo Urchin

1x Ritteri Anemone (about 12 mths time) I would not do two anemones in this sized tank What size tank would be minimum for 2? I'm guessing its more about length then volume or depth?
1x True Carpet Anemone (about 12 mths time)

Will also have some hammerhead, frogspawn, elegance corals in at some time as well.

Updated : Tank Details :- 120 gal display tank (49"x21"x30"), 45 gal sump (48"x15"x18"), Photon48 LED lights, UV steralizer (220gph pump feed), Aquaone Protein Skimmer G220, Jebao WP-40 wave maker and 660 gph return pump, chiller, Tunze ATO

Is the bio-load within check and will these inhabitants be able to co-exist? bioload is fine, and I provided commentary on potential issues
thanks
Jason

these will nip even if not hungry

2x Banded Coral Shrimp must be a mated pair, but they can take fish Thinking about getting some peppermint shrimp instead, maybe 3 or 4? peppermint shrimp are fine and are good scavengers
1x Blue Tuxedo Urchin

1x Ritteri Anemone (about 12 mths time) I would not do two anemones in this sized tank What size tank would be minimum for 2? I'm guessing its more about length then volume or depth? carpets, once established, will not move, but other anemones look for the ideal of light and flow. So length is relevant for sure
