Ok, my wife and I have an itch for a new addition.
46g bowfront
We do have a couple of corals at the moment and will probably be adding more in the future.

Current inhabitants:
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 green chromis
1 yellow wrasse
1 coral banded shrimp can take fish
assorted cuc

Here's the list my wife left me:
Longfin fairy wrasse aggressive, needs larger tank
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
Tanaka's Pygmy Wrasse excellent
PJ Cardinal excellent
Tailspot Blenny excellent
Royal Gramma excellent

I was also considering something from the dwarf angel species.
Thanks in advance

dwarf angels are not reef safe, and need a larger tank

Two more fish to consider:
Yellow Watchman Goby
Lawnmower Blenny

Brand new to this and trying my best to check fish compatibility and everything before purchasing.
I have a 30 gal with t5 white and Attinic lighting.
It has an overflow filter with bioballs, activated carbon, heater.
I have one power head, and a protein skimmer.
Salinity levels are fine and everything has cycled for a while and water levels
are all fine and ready.

Since I've never done this I wanted to start with all peaceful temperament fish.If anyone has any additional fish or sees anything wrong with the fish I'm choosing please please let me know. ): like I said brand new but you have to start somewhere.

-Clownfish (I want 2 of these but I'm not sure if I should only get 1)
-Pink Spotted Watchman Goby
-Zebra Barred Dartfish (3 of these)
-Sand Sifting Sea Star (I have the deep sand for it and some algae already built up)

I also want:
-Neon Blue Goby, but I'm not sure if it would hurt the other Goby.
-Firefish, everything I've read about these guys says they jump out of tanks. my tank has a slight opening in the back for the built in overflow. I can't change it, I bought the tank this way ): I could maybe get a piece of acrylic cut and box over it but I just want to know if they really are jumpy.

~I really wanna find some fish I love that are easier to take care of but still pretty, if anyone has any fishy suggestions? Thank youuu :)

-Pink Spotted Watchman Goby
-Zebra Barred Dartfish (3 of these) one would be fine but unless you want these to use up all of your "space", I would limit it to one
-Sand Sifting Sea Star (I have the deep sand for it and some algae already built up) will starve over time

they are jumpy, but interesting. But again, limit yourself to five smallish fish

This thread is only answered by Reef Central Staff. However if you want general opinions post a thread in Reef Fish.

Thank youuu :)

Perc Clown (currently in tank)
falco or flame hawkfish neither is shrimp or small fish safe
Lawnmower blenny (currently in tank)

Another option:

2 occ clowns
1 royal gramma
1 flame angel (the lfs told me they are nano safe! I was shocked and didnt think it was)
1 lawnmower blenny

i have a small cuc (about 3 hermits, 7 snails)

New Puffer?

New Puffer?

I currently have a 90g FOWLR DT with a 20g Sump running for about 4 months now. I just transferred two Firefish to my Dt and looking to get something for my QT tank.

Current DT Fish
-Single Spot Fox Face Rabbitfish
-x2 Clownfish
-X2 Firefish
-1 Coral Banded Shrimp
-CUC serpant starfish and various snails

I am looking at either a:
Saddle Valentini puffer

-or-

Saddle Puffer
http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+39+247&pcatid=247

I am unsure which one Id like.

Think this would be a good choice for my tank and new skill level? Also what would you recommend food wise for the puffer currently all my fish eat flake and pellet foods. I have about 5 different types from shrimp based to algae based I switch between feeding once a day.

2 occ clowns
1 royal gramma
1 flame angel (the lfs told me they are nano safe! I was shocked and didnt think it was) sorry, needs larger tank; LFS sell fish, we try to provide success
1 lawnmower blenny

I provide frozen, pellets and vegie food alternatively; best to provide variety

thats why im checking! i will keep looking around for another peaceful option. thanks again

the issue with any fish which eats constantly, such as algae grazers incuding dwarf angels, is that you have a small tank and they eat constantly.

This is a brand new tank intended to be a reef. I'm researching stocking options while it's still cycling and plan on adding inhabitants over the next several months.

Equipment:
93 cube with ~40 gallon sump
60lbs of live rock
3" deep sand bed
Reef Octopus NWB200

Expected inverts:
Nassarius snails
Dwarf cerith snails
LPS and SPS corals
Clam (probably crocea)
Anemone for the clowns

Fish:
3x pajama cardinals
1x purple firefish
1 or 2x clownfish - tomato or teardrop. I understand tomatos are more aggressive; would tomatos work with the rest of this listing?
1x exquisite fairy wrasse
1x McCoskers flasher wrasse - only if it and the fairy could coexist, could they?
1x mandarin once the tank is well established

Should be fine. Tomato clownfish tend to go further from their anemone and will want to own almost 50 gallons of tank space. Risky but probably ok.

I need some critter to eat the algae in the sand

Hello, I am new to Reef Central. Just wanted to say hello.

I have a 25 gallon cube aquarium with a 30 aquaclear filter, 65 gallon protein skimmer, 30 gallon powerhead, 23 lbs of live rock, 2 turbos, 2 nassarius snails, peppermint shrimp, emerald crab, hermit crab, pair of Oscellaris Clowns, orchid dottyback, pajama cardinal and a green mandarin goby. I have a hammer, galaxe and ricordea corals. I had a scarlet skunk shrimp and it just died on me with out a reason. :( All water levels are coming out just fine. Any ideas on what I should add? What fish would do great with these and any suggestions on a coral?
