Whoa Kenny!! Nice job. I know this has been a long time in the making. Well worth the wait. Enjoy the setup phase. I am trying to figure out just how many rows of frag trays you will be able to fit on the sides of the tank :p. Keep the updates coming.

Thanks Clint. And many thanks for the skimmer :D

LOL..........I can fit even more on the front of the tank. The tank will look like a complete mess when I transfer tanks but hopefully not for long since I'll be setting up a 150 gallon tub next to it just for the frags

I'm interested if you have had any issues with the educator on the Sea Swirl. I always thought you couldn't do this for performance issues on the SS's motor assembly?

tom obrecht - as far as I know, the eductors only create back pressure but should have no effect on the mechanics of the SS motor assembly.

nick540 - thanks.

Finally some updates. Things have been busy with trying to break down a couple of smaller tanks and putting the stuff into the 300. I took my time inspecting all the LPS/zoas/palys to make sure they didn't have any pests before putting them in. Definitely don't want to deal with them here. The SPS were fine so they were just transferred over.

The electrical was done yesterday. There are 2 separate 20A circuits dedicated to the system. I will install a couple of power centers later so I can turn things on/off without unplugging them.

A female Crosshatch trigger that I picked up from a local reefer last week. Will be keeping an eye out for a male to pair her up with.

Added a couple more yellow tangs for a total of 3. Already all hard at work. The Three Tangs

An old chalice I've had for a while. Was bleaching from too much light in the smaller tank but is already coloring back up nicely.

Couple of new Aussie lords.

Yeah, most of those are frags and they'll go in the 150G prop tub once it's plumbed in. I needed to break down a couple of small tanks and had to put them all on the sandbed for the time being.

Finally some updates. Work has been killing me the last month. Really neglected the tank in terms of maintenance and not much has been done to it. Still need more rocks and the new lights. Cleaned the front last night and saw a few nice colors popping up so I decided to take a few top down shots.

This one is coloring up nicely. Turning a nice shade of blue with green eyes and a green rim.

I just love the color contrast in this group shot.

An oldie I've had forever and the green is coming back strong since moving to the big tank.

An unknown Acro

The tips on this one is turning an insane blue. The new growth is almost like an echinata but the rest of it is so different.

Great setup!!!!

Just wondering are you having any issue with the penductors on the end of the SeaSwirl? How they are holding up to the back pressure?? Any leaks?

Some plumbing that was done last weekend.

The Dart for the return with a true union check valve and a couple of T's for other equipment such as a chiller, phosphate reactor, etc.

Hey Kenny nice set up. One question are you missing a ball valve with union on the outlet?I only see 1 from the inlet in this picture. If you need to service the dart pump how are you going to remove it from the set?Is the check valve will stop the water drain back down?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Typhon, the SS's are doing well so far. No leaks that I can see. I've also added one to the WavySea that has since been installed. I may take them off the SS's in the near future though since I am planning on adding 3 Streams to the tank. I was trying to avoid do so but it's just not enough flow. The plan is to add 2x6100 on the left side and a 6200 on the right.

Anthony, the check valve right below the ball valve is a union also.

Hey Kenny I just place an order with atlantis aquairum for a crosshatch trigger pair but I have to wait for 3 weeks. They have a very reasonable price for a pair same price for just one female at my LFS.

Sweet Anthony. They are definitely beautiful fish to have. You'll love them. Just make sure you don't have too many small frags or colonies near their cave where they sleep or they'll rearrange them for you, whether you like it or not  Mine moved a samoensis colony the size of a small softball across the tank.

Finally put up the MH but only temporarily with PVC. Just don't have the time to build the canopy with my crazy work schedule lately. It's 3 SLS Lumenmax pendants driven by SLS Galaxy ballasts. The 2 bulbs on the right are Phoenix 14K and the one on the left is an Ushio Nepturion 14K, boy is it yellow.

I've also added a few fish lately: Blond Naso Tang, Purple Tang, Powder Blue Tang, female Watanabei Angel (to pair up with the male I already have), 2 green spotted Mandarin, bunch of Cleaner and peppermint shrimp, and a ton of hermits and Tongan Nassarius snails.
