power outage

lost power this morning around 8am. waited until 8:45am for power to be be restored but no luck. Went to the garage and dragged out my generator to find out the motor had seized. Luckily I also own a power converter for my car. It says its rated for 300watts but I highly doubt it. In any event it was more than enough to run my circulation pump (Triton 5) and my 2 power heads until thepower came back on at 10:30am. So for those who don't have the funds for Vortech with battery backup, a power converter is a cheap solution to provide power during a power outage.

I bought a converter a few years ago when we had that giant two day blackout. I only used it that one time, but I know right where it is in my garage, just in case :D

I thought they were called Invertors, anyway that's what I used during the great blackout of NYC.

Now at gas prices sooooo high I dont know what I'd do...
