PTSD treatment tank

Well I was looking forward to doing a freshwater test today. But I have one bulkhead that will not seal. I am about ready to just take it out and toss it in the garbage. I have to take a break for a few before I loose my temper and break something.

Oceans by Design and Barrier Reef probably both carry bulk heads in store. I know OBD has sch 80 bulk heads, which I always prefer working with and they're just up the road from you. You might want to check their closing times before you head out though.

Yeah I just did the mad rush to Barrier Reef to get a new one. So I will try it again and see if I can get it to work with out leaking.

Well this should help. I made about 3 trips to the store and got all the parts I needed to plumb the drain and when I got ready to start I had to make another trip because I forgot to buy the pipe.

Now that sounds like something that I would do. But that is just classic forgetting the pipe.

Well it only took 3 new 3/4" bulkheads to get one that didn't leak. Now onto the freshwater leak test. She is filling up now as we speak.

Ha Ha Ha I have a getto herbie overflow. It took some playing around with it since I pulled a major brain fart and forgot to plumb in my gate valves on my drain. But when I first started it up it sounded like I had a waterfall in my living room. But after some playing around with the drains it is quiet other then the water splashing in the sump. But its working so I'm happy just two little drips that I need to fix but they are no problem at all.

I orderd 150 pounds but I think that might be to much. I also have about 25 pounds sitting in a box also. I forgot that I had that still but oh well I guess I can always sale it.

Yeah that was one of my biggest things that I wanted was a tall stand. To me there is nothing worst then having to bend clear over just to look in your tank. As for the sump I got lucky with it. Elite Aquatics makes some killer sumps I would check them out if your in the market for a new sump. I need to get a CO2 tank so I can get my reactor up and running on a test run.

Well I'm sure my UPS guy hates me after today. I got my order from BRS of 150 of Pukani rock. Also my order from Aquacave came in with my skimmer, heaters and heater controller. All I have to say is this skimmer I got is a beast. Its the Skimz DC203 Monster.

Then I got salt and sand coming in later this week. Its starting to come together. Before I know it I will have fish in it. Speaking of fish I better go feed mine.

Great progress and some nice gifts you got there. That is a good skimmer you have there. You are going to love it. Heard some good reviews on it.

My rock 150 pounds of Pukani then I have about 25 more pounds from when I set up my 40 breeder that is sitting in a box. I really don't plan on using the rock from my 40 because I have issues with red flatworms. If I need some more I will pull it out and do a acid dip on it to kill everything on it. Sorry its not all stacked nice and neat I just pulled it out of the box and set it down just to get a idea of what I got.
