Radion mounting?

Here's a mount I made using shelving tracks from lowes, they are also available at home-depot and most hardware stores. They tracks have slots throughout, providing flexible options for mounting the radions at different points. They also have different gauges that you could use depending on the length you need or the number of lights that you need to mount. Looks were not as important as the mount is hidden within my canopy, but provides a quick and easy option.

The mount is made using 80/20 Black Aluminum Extrusion. I will be able to hide the wiring in the channel slots on the way down behind the tank, it should be pretty clean!!

this is before I added the 5th.

Unfortunately I'm selling off the system. Can't wait for my Radion G4.5s when I get back Ecotech!!!

I wish Ecotech would make some mounts for us. I had to do a DIY with some Home Depot closet/drawer stuff...it's not the best looking but it did come out pretty good! Will have to take pics soon

Someone mounted their radions inside a canopy with a movable railing system in the x and Y axis (they could move it front to back and/or left to right). I saw some pictures of it in a thread. I have not been able to locate it. Can someone point me in the right dirrection?

Don't you just love working with this stuff?

I built something very similar and love how it turned out. I'm looking into building a frame for a stand with 80/20.

Hi Bellis,

Where did you bought these types of aluminum extrusions?

Thanks,
Gus

Tradewinds: I am also very interested buying the same canopy your LED's sit in for my 150 gallon tank! I will be upgrading my lighting soon but am concerned that my current canopy setup is not going to work for the LED's as my current lighting sits very close to the water. I am out of state but I have not seen anything like that!

Thanks, I sent you the information.

I'm not sure if they will ship the canopies as it may cost more to ship them than it does to make them. Last time I was there, they had several different sizes in stock. If you are ever in the area pay them a visit.
