Switched from what to what Mark ?

Tom I was running the Giesemann 12.5 off my HQI ballast. I debated with the aquaconnect's, but for the price I went with the pheonix 14k. Lots of par and still a nice tint of blue. Is it the best, no, but it puts me in th eright direction.
I looked into the giesemann 14.5, but turned away.

Any interest in zoos?

I've got a frag of Mohawk zoanthids with 2 polyps (one large and one baby) that I would like to trade this for Nuclear Green zoos of at least 2 polyps. :)

I think everyone should post what they are bringing as the there extra equall rare piece for the swap portion. It will help me know what to bring so we dont have too many duplicates .

Haven't decided on my third.

Possibilities are:

True Leng Sy
Eddie's Solitaryensis
LE Aquituberculata
Atlantis Pink Polyp Cap
LE Flower Petal monti
Fire Engine monti
LE Branching Alien Eye
Alien Eye Mycedium (in the pic I posted)

Have to see what else.

MAN! Do I wish I had a bunch of rare's for this swap... have fun people maybe next time I will have some rares to partake in this fun shindig...

... and for those that feel left out....

Don't worry, we/I will be doing this again. So start building you collection of rares for next time.

I hope no one is disappointed in what I bring, I was going to bring a piece of my tort, but then I realized I'm not sure exactly what tort it is, hell Reeffarmers site even says Bennet/Cali/Oregon/Seattle/etc are came from the same place. Steve at NAA had this colony, but he's since lost it to pests (he doesn't like to talk about that :D), so I doubt he remembers what it was. Since I know lineage is important to people I didn't want to give them a coral which looks exactly like the one they might think it is, only to find out it might not be *shrug*

What I'm bringing however I think I nailed it down to an Acropora Tenuis, it has a very bright and brilliant green (I call "nuclear green") where the tips of the coralites are much brighter than the base of the body, very similar to the way Karl's Candlelight has those super bright green tips on the coralites, only difference is the flesh of the skeleton isn't quite as contrasting.. that or the colors are more tightly spaced. Some guy from the Sacramento area traded a piece of Karl's Candlelight for a frag of this, so I figure it's at least "rare"(ish) to one other person :)

The guy in the center, sorry this is shot through perma-hazed acrylic due to weldon mishap recently. To give an idea of color of green there's a slimer to the right, and the "mystery" tort to the left.

Also I fragged up my 2 pieces of the other coral, Mike's Underroos Favia :D, and while the piece I'm giving to Pam looks fine, the other piece is so-so... so well see how it looks in a couple weeks time, and if it's still alive by that time then dies on the person who picks it I'll have a replacement guarantee on that piece, just to let my main colony recover from the dremel job I did.

Yep, just start with a frag, grow it out, and you're set.

New Alameda is looking for xenia right now. I bet you could trade a big bucket of xenia for a small Fire Engine monti or something :)

That is, if you're not looking to put out any cash for a frag :)

I can frag one polyp of this for a pink lemonade frag.
IMG_2714_edited.jpg

hey do you have any in-tank photos of that?

I plan on bringing the LE flower petal cap as my third :D.

Oh yea, gotta love Paul's horrida, that thing is just plain awesome in tank.

Any pictures of Mike's underoos favia thingy...I am most curious :)

Hi All - for my third, I plan on bringing an Oregon Tort frag. Could someone please PM me the location - Had a good time at the BAR meeting, thanks, Pam

Make sure the underoos are clean before fragging. I hear they can get kind of messy otherwise.

I am thinking of bringing a frag of Paletta lovelli as my 3rd frag
