Rbta splitted

Never done this, but I heard if you massage the foot where it meets the rock, sometimes you can get it to come off. And by massage, I meant just try to get underneath. NO PULLING or yanking, LOL!

two methods that worked for me.
1. small power head and blow directly at it. It will try to move in 4-6 hrs
2. if # fail, cover it with another piece of rock, it will try to move to light. Once it moves, slowly detach its foot.

I have moved a few around by picking at the foot. Just work you way all the way around the foot with you finger nail. once it feels itself loosing grip it will let go of the rock. then put it inside topper ware with holes in it and let it float around till you find it a new home. The RBTA are very strong. I have taken a knife and cut it half when it gets to big.

will it attach to the tupperware?

if its on a rock you can remove, pull out the rock and apply an ice cube to its foot. If not, then pointing a power head directed at it is the best option, it'll move.

I removed one a few weeks ago. MJ600 pointed at it... took about 30 mins before it finally let go of the rock, and that was working the pump around it, and softly working at it's foot with my finger.

It's time consuming, but if you want the Nem to let go, you have no choice but to wait for it to give up and let go of the rock.

It got to a bottom rock with a cave and it sat inside cave. Waiting to get out to start working on removing. Rock to close to sand and power head is causing a sandstorm because is to deep to work on it.

I just put a rock on top. Works every time without disturbing corals in the area. It will just try to move to the new rock.

Lol ah ya right I know that ...but what you were trying to say in the title was that it split ....not splitted lol
