Nice plumbing. What return pumps and skimmer are you using?

Little bit of an update

Wow! Do you have an equipment list anywhere? Any more details on the tank build itself (thickness, silicone used, etc?)

havent got a skimmer yet.
but i was thinking of "SRO-9000EXT Commercial Protein Skimmer"
the lights are custom 100 watt quad color leds ranging from 395nm-480nm 15 of them.
and 24 39 watt t5s
10X300 jager heaters.
1000 pounds of dry rock.
coralife salt as 200 gallon waters change every week.
3 DC return pumps (pumping out 2640 gallons per hour)
400 pounds of sand

as for the glass.
19mm or 3/4" Float with polished edges
Black silcone
Dual Overflows (Beanie)
180 gallons Ultra Red Refuge (Red and Blue leds for maximum sponge growth)
300 gallon Refuge with White and yellow leds
2 60" by 24" by 12"H mangrove systems with 6 inchs of sand.
2 90 gallons cryptic refuges
in the works is 140 gallon rumble tank that well house the skimmer

also in the fish room is a 3 48" coral QT tanks
9X 36" fish QT tanks

2X300 gallon water storage tanks

When building a tank this size, you put a bead of silicone down on the bottom panel, then you plac the side panel on top, with the size and weight of the side panel, what stops it from just pressing all the silicone out of the joint? or at least pressing enough out so the joint isnt strong?

we put the bottom panel down, then we place the side panel beside the bottom. as the bottom is a floating bottom.
my tank was built with a double bottom. if that clears it up for ya. there are also. rubber spacer in between each panel for a 1/16 gap for silicone. this cuase a better seal with the silicone.

This is an awesome sized tank. Would you mind going Into a little more detail about your refugiums, what is in them? How they are plumbed into the system? What the goal of them is? Anything else you can share

Each refugium is a little different.
the first one is right off my main drains and get plumb right back into my main drain.
the one is going to be high flow mangroves.

the second refugium is roughly 5 time turn over an hour.
its going to be mostly rock and sponges.
This one is plumbed into my main sumps center what house my reactors and more rock.

third refugium is going to be low flow with macroalgaes. what is plumb into my drains.

whole point is more filtration, more biodiversity, more food for all.

in the planning stage right now i might add a butterfly tank in my fish room.

Thank you for the descriptions, regarding the second fuge with sponges and rocks. Is the plan to use this as filtration or is the plan to grow sponges as food for the fish?
