Red branching monti dying... Bleaching? Oorrr??

I've had this piece of red monti for about a month now and it's been doing great until about three days ago. I've got duncans, blastos, rics, zoas, acans, etc. all thriving. But this mont started either bleaching or peeling? It started as one little patch, and now 60% of the frag is bone. It doesn't look like faded color. It's as if something's pecking it, or something I can't see is eating it. It's basically chunks missing... Any idea?

Nitrite and ammonia steady at 0. Nitrate MAYBE 5. Calc : 480-500. Dkh 9-10. Mg:?(ruined the test kit a faucet explosion.) about a 10% water change every 2-3 weeks. Picture will have to wait til I'm home from work. I can't find a reason for this decay. As I said. Every other tank inhabitant is thriving.

what kind of fish do you have? i had a clowny goby that liked to sit on my montis and the same thing happened.
