it feeds on polyps of palithoa, but only a few polyps per month, the colony grows faster than it can eat.
I leave a colony of brown palithoa the reef to eat it
I have some pictures of him leaving the ring, going to and returning palithoa to play.

Wow, what a surprise to see this tank featured here! I ate at your restaurant in Ilhabela about a year ago (Carnaval 2008) with my family and friends, and your tank was so beautiful close and personal!!! My son, at the time below 1year, was mesmerized by the fish movement and colors.

When I was looking today at the "Wordless Workshop" slide show I looked at the tank and the surroundings and thought "Wait a minute, I've been to this place...." and then I looked up and saw your name including "Ilhabela" in it... I knew it was the place I had been.

Congrats for your tank, and for your pictures, and also I must say for the food at your restaurant, it was very yummy :-) .

I hope to go to Ilhabela sometime next summer. I will definitely stop by your place to eat your great food and hopefully chat and learn some aquarium wisdom from you !! (I am about to start in the hobby with a 200l square tank).

In summary, "show de bola" o seu aquário!!!!

Abraços,

Snorkeler

PS: for those who are only seeing the pictures, let me tell you, it is really beautiful when you see it close by!! If your ever come to Brazil on business you'll most likely end up in Sao Paulo. Ilhabela is a 3 hour drive from Sao Paulo, not too far, and a great destination for a weekend extension of a business trip. About the same distance from Rio de Janeiro, another common place for business travellers.

That's really neat, snorkeler. Thank you for chiming in and telling us about your personal experience, seeing it first hand. I knew I liked this thread when it first started, and now I have a really good reason to visit Brazil. :)

Snorkeler Welcome to our home.
I saw three aiptasias in my reef, shut the whole movement, and made a folder of Kalk to put on top of them, to kill them at once, is more than a year that did not appear aiptasia in my reef,
I finished with all more than a year ago when I put a reef in striatus.
decided that it was all stopped and took some pictures

Marc received a visit from one of the most hobbyists the world would be incredible.

I love taking pictures of clowns

I was at Matias restaurant at this weekend. Both reefs are gorgeous and the food was the most delicious meal I've ever had!

Just one word to all this: SUPERB!

Matias,

Congratulations for the recognition, you deserve!!!

Another incredible brazilian tank...

And as said Calil, the food is great and you need to know personally that tank...

It's amazing!!!

I hung up and told the whole movement for you to kill 3 aiptasias,
decided after taking some pictures of corals and stopped, but I saw a piece of acropora was out of the water, died and this piece from yesterday for today lost the whole colony with more than 30 cm, two pieces could break without RTN, see if we save at least those pieces

Photos

That's too bad matias, it's odd thought becuase most acros are able to live out of water for an extensive period of time. They are able to produce a slime coating that keeps them moist and helps to stop the harmful UV rays. Sorry for the loss :(

Sorry to hear about your acro Matias. You have built an amazing tank. Wish my schedule allowed some travel to Brazil. I'd enjoy a meal in your restaurant in a heartbeat. I made a promise to myself I would experience Carnival at least once in my life. Love the samba! :)
