Reefbreeders/(Evergrow OEM) Fixtures D120/IT20** series

Has anyone been able to successfully link multiple units to a single controller? If so, could you post which wires to connect together. I've asked this question over on the RB forum, but it gets ignored which suggests that RB don't really want us mucking around with it.

I have a pair of photon32 units that I cannot keep synchronized and it is becoming a real PitA.

Tagging along to see if you've heard anything.
I'm thinking of buying a pair of Photon 32's for my 6' long 150.
The sync issue could be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks,

Fuzz

Hello, i am new here, i recently bought 2 IT2080 led fixtures.

The thing is, that one has more intensity than the other. Measuring with a simple energymonitor revealed that the blue channel uses 117W and the white channel only 72W
On the other unit it is 119,7W for ch 1 and 107,5W for ch 2..

Does anyone know if the drivers inside have a potentiometer, so one could adjust them to be identical?

Hello all! I recently bought a RB Photon 24. I am really happy with the unit! The build quality is perfect. I chose to start out with their "custom" profile. (One of 5, sunny, cloudy, moon, custom and manual). I broke my twelve hour photoperiod down into 24 segments each of which controls the mix of whites/blues by intensity. I don't have a PAR meter but I can tell you that this unit suspended a foot above the water is as bright at 30% b/25% w as my quad 96w PC (new bulb) resting on the glass cover. Its all good EXCEPT the operators manual. You have to have patience or a sense of humor to wade through a very bad Chinese to English translation. RB would score huge if they were to slip an English version in the box. Finally.....customer service. Outstanding is the word that comes to mind. I made a typo in my delivery address and hit the send button before I realized my error. Of course I contacted them immediately on my PC. I shut down the computer, walked downstairs and before I sat down Logan the company owner called me to say he fixed it. He couldn't have been faster if we were standing in the same room! Great product...great service....great price. Isn't that refreshing!

I think I'd ask them what the wattage is supposed to be and return one of them for replacement.

I'm running a 20H and would like to add a rbta in 6-8 months. Which ReefBreeder light would work best for that application? Thanks to some knowledgeable folks on this forum I believe I need around a 300 par rating somewhere in the tank. I would prefer it be the lower 3rd of the tank if possible. Are there stands available for these lights.

Hey folks! I have my Photon24 up and running. Does anyone have or know of a table which shows intensity settings which are based accurately on the sun? Let's say my max output is 60%....I looking for values to plug in before noon as well as afterwards in both directions ending in the dark
Anyone?

hey dude, the cheapest smallest light will do in ur small tank. d120. but ramp it up slowly. 100% on ur tank might b too much for ur rbta.

Thank you for the suggestion. This would be my fist attempt at hanging/suspending a light. This fixture is less than the 6x24w t5 fixture I would need to have a rbta, no replacement bulbs to worry about. Anything else I should know besides ramp it up slowly?

has anyone check the intensity par.. to see if it holds up over a year.. just read another thread and the loss of par on the radion seemed to be huge and contrary to the claim of 50,000 hours of use with little loss of par..

not much else really. it's plug and play. I think 50% is probably more than what you'd need for the rbta. it'll likely be prettier with more blue than full spectrum. start it about 20% and gradually increase the intensity over two weeks, looking at the response from the rbta (i.e. based on where it moves to, and if it is opening up well or not.)

Hi all... I've had my Photon24 running for a week now. I have it suspended
d about a foot above my 29 gal. It didnt take me long to realize there's lot more to figure out with LEDS. That being said I have three zoo colonies, some palys, one monti the size of a nickle a mushroom some GSP and a good sized leather. Im trying to get a feel on how much is "max" lighting for my tank. I am hoping for advice from fellow Reefbreeders users.
