reeflux 10k or 12k?

I think a slight tint of blue but not a lot.

I'm not going to suppliment with atinics.

I just got my 12k reeflux and the box says Reeflux but the bulb says "Venture" Its the 250w de version. Is this right?

Just got my 12Ks..LOVE THEM..very crisp white color with a hint of blue..LOVE THEM!!! (kissing sounds)

what type of ballast are you running them on...any actinics? im curious about the PAR of the 12k bulbs as well..... i think its either gonna be 10k, 12k, or 14k aquaconnect....

I think I'm going to order a set of 250w 12k's and run 1 10k and 1 12k side by side on my 120 and see the difference.

Im running them on Coralvue ballasts..plus URI actinics for supplementation..

250W DE 10k's (no Actinic BTW) IC driven.......5-6 months now!

Crisp White....no yellow. Still, there's enough 420-450nm to give the greens and blues some pop.

I prefer it over the P14.

Okay I got my 250w RF e-ballast wired up today.

Here is a picture of the 10k on the HQI ballast (left) and the 10k on the RF e-ballast (right). As you can see it has a nice hint of blue, I like it, its just as bright as the left side but a little more aesthetically appealing.

wow, thats a great contrasting picture.... have you noticed any "pukey pink" color from the one on the RF e-ballast? i have heard that they can sometimes look like that....but i love the way yours looks!

Nope havn't seen any pink yet. Keep in mind these bulbs have maybe 10 hours on them too! So I'm sure they'll be much different once I have 100 hrs on them.

We'll see. I'm going to order a set of Reeflux 12k's and do some comparison pics for those.
