Replacement tubing for BRS Doser

Is this something I can find locally or at least a temporary fix until I can get some from BRS?

OF COURSE I'm leaving for our first vacation since last August, so you know SOMETHING has to go wrong.....

it never fails!

it never fails!

seems like something always happens just before leaving town.

Maybe that's why nothing has gone wrong in my aquarium for the past two years! :jester:

If you can find out what type of tubing it is, you could probably order it from mcmaster.com and get it shipped to you next day for like $6

Moot point, leaving to FLA tomorrow. So if I can't get it today, I'll have to have our house sitter dose daily.

Maybe give BRS a call to find out the material? Lowes/Home Depot stocks small diameter vinyl tube and also polyethylene, which is used with a lot of RODI units

If it's only for a week, a same-diameter latex tubing might work. Sure it will wear faster, but it should be OK for a week

I think it's a Calfo rule to never do any significant work on the tank before heading away for a while. If you need latex tubing try a vet or a med supply house. GL!

I agree with this. I would be hesitant to replace it with anything other than the official BRS replacement the day before leaving the tank in someone elses hands.

Capt, I have two spare tubes for 1.1 dosers. You can have them if they will work for you. Just order me new ones.

I ordered some yesterday. I would definitely take you up on that, but we are taking off shortly. I sincerely appreciate the gesture. Next time you're looking for frags you let me know. I'll return the gesture.
