Awesome pics, I could stare all day with glazed eyes :eek2: What is your flow set up? I noticed you're running some Tunze stream pumps and wonder if your tank circulates in a linear fashion, meaning from side to side - across the front and back or more of a alternating left then right with a meeting in the middle?

Thank you.I run 2 tunze 6105 pumps on a multi controller and a closed loop with 4 outlets that alternate from side to side every 7 or 8 seconds. The tunze pumps also alternate from side to side every 10 seconds. The flow is very random with a sweeping left to right main current. There are times of strong random swirl at various spots in the upper parts of the tank and strong surface agitation.HTH

how did you control the closed loop ?

Do you run the 6105 wide open at any time on the multi controller? I run 2 x 6105, 6055, and 6101 on the controller with the left/right 10-60% with bursts to 80%. @100% i've found the acros have a problem with PE. Also, do you use night mode?

Yes wide open @ 100 % on interval 1 and a couple acros that get pounded are a bit naked at times but its for the better for the tank in whole.I do run the nite mode and my CL also shuts down for 2 hours each night.

Its been a couple ruff weeks.Started out 3 weeks ago with a nice case of paly-toxin poisoning with intense pain in fingers for a few nights, then last weekend the swap,(what a marathon of a day)which took every bit of energy I managed to conjure up then the Flu from hell this week.

Yeah that is why I removed all zoanthids and anything of the sort from my tank. Got really sick one night after messing with the tank. Not going that route again.

Yep,I hear that. Most of my DT is sps and a few lps but a few choice zoos/palys made it into the loop thru the years. The purple death hung out in my frag tank for a year or so growing from a couple polyps to a nice colony.First time cutting it I already had several tiny cuts from rearranging rock and cutting the sticks for the day. When I cut a few polyps doing the first frag some of the liquid from inside made it into one on the tiny cuts I knew I was in trouble, instantly burning and stinging similar to a bee sting. That evening and the next couple I had excruciating pain in fingers effected and hands with swelling.Live and learn here,I will be wearing double gloves next time I even come near these bad boys. They pack a potent punch for sure.
