This was posted elsewhere, but thought I would share the video here so that the RC readership can enjoy too!

I've never seen a video of this fish and now am convinced this is the most attractive butterfly I've ever seen!

Awesome fish and amazing that they were able to keep alive with the collection depth so deep and shipping etc., but definitely not the most attractive butterfly. Just my opinion. Some of the most common fish in the hobby are the most attractive, but we are inclined to want what we can't have.

The small box is most likely to make it easier to feed. Blue Harbor knows their stuff. There have been a few other videos of their fish being posted...

Lipogramma klayi and Rainfordia opercularis

They get the best of the best that is for sure.

I actually love the simplicity of the stripes. I was impressed by the difference between this video and previous pictures I'd seen.

Hopefully it'll do well. Definitely a touchy fish from that depth.

This roa was a bit smaller than the ones we have found in the past. It seemed to have more orange coloration to it also. I found this guy under a large boulder at 484 feet, hanging out with a trio of holanthias fuscipennis and a few 2cm bodianus sanguines. Needless to say, my dive partner and I were narced out of our minds. I took a gopro camera down and surprisingly it handled the depth without imploding. As soon as I figure out how to edit the video, I'll try posting it.

That would be an amazing video!!!!!! You guys are insane...

Could it be that the juvi's start with more color and as they age they lose the orange?

484 feet...that's insane...saving military guys, you are probably the lot that go such depth regularly..
do you have a picture thread here rufus..?you sure took some amazing pictures in all these years..you can start a thread at least in diving section...:hammer:

I've tried posting pics of the fish that we've collected over the years a few times, but I keep getting infractions from the reef central moderators whenever I post a picture. Unfortunately, I guess since we collect fish we're not allowed to post pictures. I'll try to get a YouTube link to the video once it's downloaded.

Ah, that's too bad. They really should let you post as for the majority of us on here, we don't have a shot at getting your fish as the Japanese snap them up before we get a chance! :blown:

i also think it won't harm any business interest of RC sponsors,if he post the pictures of fishes which were already delivered and sold in market...

not that knowing this person caught rare fishes will tempt anyone to ditch their favorite FS to import directly...:hammer:

and those who have money and willingness to go a length for pricey rare fishes, will find their way anyway ....posting some pictures won't change their decision.

but mods decision is final and has to be respected for a open community forum...

and a new one! just sick! she/he eats in this one...
