Rovster's Custom Reef Savvy build......FINALLY!!!

Would love to see pics of the swissguard basslets. Did you buy them as a pair?

Here us a pic I just snapped with my phone. My computer took a crap so as soon as I replace it I'll take some nice SLR pics. I bought them as a pair from live aquaria a year and a half ago. My treat to myself when I transferred out of the biocube. They are cool friendly fish. They are usually out and about swimming in and out of the rocks. My dream nano fish would be a pair of candy basslets but that is way out of the budget, lol!

If you look closely my Tanakas possum wrasse is in the pic too:D

That's awesome. I've never had any luck with the Tanakas. Another fish on my must have list.

Yeah, they are interesting for sure. Not as "visible" as the basslets, but mine is always out and about. It takes a few seconds to find him, but by no means is he always hiding like some people say. Its funny, all my cave dwellers (possum, basslets, royal gramma) all seem to be out more lately since I added more fish. I see these as a nice filler fish, some thing that pops into view from time to time and is "different". They look like little submarines the way they swim. I got him from divers den as well when I got the basslets. Super peaceful and doesn't mess with anyone! Has stayed rather small. I think some of the other possum wrasses get bigger?

Thought I was do for a mini update. Tank is humming along well and I am in the middle of restocking. El Presidente gave me some tester frags that are doing well, and another friend hooked me up some frags as well. This past friday I got a trio of frags, and the rest are coming in next Friday. I gotta say something, Adam from BattleCorals has been so awesome. He is replacing all the frags I lost and then some for a SUPER modest fee, so modest I feel like I am ripping him off, LOL! Big public thanks to him, and can't wait until the frags get here.

As far as what is happening in my tank now. Most of my SPS are doing good. I had a few that were bleaching and that had suffered a huge hit from the crash so I lowered my lighting intensity from 70% to 50% a few weeks ago. I have also been feeding a ridiculous amount to try and fatten up my new anthias. This has caused a noticeable change in the tank. Overall a lot of the corals are leaning towards the darker green/brown look, and the tank has the appearance of "too many nutrients", althouth my kits say otherwise. Today I increased the intensity back to 60% so I hope that will help.

Here is a the tester frag E gave me a few weeks ago. He forgot the name, if he can't remember it I will rename it something ridiculous.
Day 1...

Here is a few weeks in my tank. It looks reasonably happy and is slowly coloring up and laying down a base....

Here is a hawkins Eddie also gave me as a "true" tester.

I don't have a current pic, but its definitely growing and its got a nice teal-blue color. Its starting to encrust ever so slowly over the glue as well...

And now for some survivors...

My froggy got hit hard, and is one of the corals that was bleaching. It still looks like garbage, but its hanging in there. The left side and underside had a lot of damage....The stag on the left Eddie gave me and its brown as heck!

My blue tort has definitely lost its luster, and had some STN but it seems to be doing fine for now...

More to follow....

Here are some more survivors...

SniperSPS BBG Millie is starting to get some color and glow back.

Bonsai is usually my canary and as long as its looking decent, then I'm feeling pretty good about things...

Mirabilis has been showing a lot more PE lately...Still turdish....

I'm really suprised this one made it. BC Purple Flamingo, it went totally brown and lost those yellow tips. The bottom also RTNd but as of today, that is almost 100% healed.....
This pic was from a week or so ago...

And an actinic pic from 2 days ago. Yellow tips are coming back strong!

My Palmers Blue is blue again, LOL!

THis guy is coming around slowly (Fusion Flare)...

Slimer base coming back...

Efflo survived and is coming around....

Super glad this PC superman table did not go!

My sunset went almost pale and slowly but surely getting better. Still has a way to go...

Tri-Color is bulletproof...

Nem is totally healed and growing again. Getting big. I'm getting nervous about it!

Cornbred Purple Planet added the other day..

Cornbred the "thing" anacropora...

And finally, one of these 2 turds is my favorite acro. I promised myself if I ever had the opportunity to buy one I'd jump on it. Its tiny and paid a lot, but I hope in time it will be my centerpiece. I won't say what either is, but both of these are gorgeous when grown up.....

A recent quick FTS....

That's it for now....

Nice update. Glad to here its getting better.

In the anemone pic, is that the spongodes you got from me? If it is it has reallt grown a lot!!!

Yes it is. It lost it's luster and was looking ragged but it survived! It's got a few new growth nubs too!

Dude, im the old guy, yet you lack the memory. I gave you a single branch ~ 3/4". That now has a base and multiple branches!!! Its well on its way.

Lol, it's easy to forget when you look at your tank all day every day! You did give me a good chunk though, bigger than you remember;). Everything you've hooked me up with has been much more generous than "average".

For average, just look at those nubs I posted! In a year you'll get a frag of each, I don't care if you don't have room....you will make room for this one;)

Thanks, I am nowhere near done!

Actually, I forgot a couple....:D

TDF...

Upscales microclados...

Eddie's fav....Still needs more light!

Man all the sps is looking great, what's your max radion %? I'm trying to get my sps to color back up aswell, radion gen2 with gen 3 pro clusters. My peak is 14k @60% for an hour then tappers off to 18k

Rovster's Custom Reef Savvy build......FINALLY!!!

Looks great! Can't wait to get my new tank up and running so I can have something like this to share! Is that a yellow and powder blue tang I see? How do they get along?

Powder blue rules the tank. Yellow stays away but for the most part not too many fireworks. At first I thought the yellow was done but after a few days the king let up. Now the king just flexes his fins here and there to keep the yellow in place.

As far as Radion %, I got up to 65% before crash. Now I'm at 60% but I think I will max out around 75-80.

can you please translate that graph for those that dont speak LED graph?:wildone:

or provide a legend- i bet most of you young guys dont even know what a "legend"is? No its not Dan Marino, LOL. :uzi:
