Rovster's Custom Reef Savvy build......FINALLY!!!

I love your ricordia's....wish I could get mine to grow like that.

Thanks. Can't take all the credit I got that rock from a local taking down his tank. Very uncommon collection of rics. I feel guilty because they are tucked away in the back of my tank when they should really be front and center! I'll see if I can get some better pics soon.

Canon DSLR, sigma macro for most. No post processing because I suck at it. I do have a top down box. Started with a DIY then family got me the Avast Porthole for Xmas:D

So I got home today and tank looks great. My last 3 weekends have been hectic and for the first time in 2 years I've gone 3 weeks without a waterchange and I think things are better! I may just go to biweekly instead of my usual weekly and see what happens.

Quick phone pic from a little while ago. I did do a 20 gal WC. I've also noticed I have way too many green corals so I'll have some nice ones for sale soon!

I also upped my lighting intensity from 50 to 55%. The stuff I ordered for my DIY T5 expansion project comes in tomorrow. Fun project on the way!

Patience! Been posting too many pics. Need to give a month or 2 for some growth so it doesn't look like I keep posting the same pic over and over, LOL!:hammer:

I'm pretty sure most of them have grown a mm or two here and there.

Judging by the amount of corals in there I'd bet there are a handful you havent posted pics of. :fun2:

Actually, all have grown at least a mm or 2, some even more. Check out those stags in the back! My Palmer's blue mille is also starting to plate beyond the rock. If you zoom in its on the right side of the last pic. So weird, I didn't know acros could plate:celeb1:

OK, maybe in a week or so I'll grab some pics. Polyp extension is coming back so that's great, but my milles are nowhere near what they were before. They are all showing signs of improvement. Unfortunately, the acros I like grow super slow! My purple monster was looking sweet this weekend. Never seen such a purple nub before:eek2:

Most acros will encrust on the rock as they built a stalk before they grow UP, and side ways.

Purple monster is usually fragged as a nub since it is a known slow grower.

All above my opservations.

Maybe when your tank is humming Eddie I'll let you grow out my purple monster for me, haha! That stag I got from you way back when was dormant for a while but now it's developed some growth tips so watch out.

I've noticed some acros start growing from day 1, and others don't do anything for months then wake up! Most of the stuff I got from you was like this except the turdcake, which loved my tank since day 1;)

Having looked at the growth shots it looks like you got pretty fast growth going there...Are you still dosing BRS two part or a different brand? Currently are you running GAC/GFO?

Well if you saw pics from today you'd really notice a difference. They are growing like crazy now! Still doing BRS 2-part, 1.3 cups GFO monthly, about 3/4 cup carbon every other month it seems.

I'll have to frag my frogskin soon, that thing is getting too big in proportion to my other stuff. My stags are going nuts too!

I think I'm up to 4 min 12x/day so 50ml each? That said lately Alk has been dropping so I'm still trying to dial it in. Was stable for a couple months without changing. Now I'm chasing a bit. I typically add 10-15 sec per increment on my program and let it be for a couple of weeks before deciding to add more. I've been adding an additional 10ml here and there manually until I can get the timers figured out again. Thanks!

Tested the big 3 tonight as well....not the big 3 you're thinking of....my big 3;)

Alk 139 (usually 146 Hanna)
Phos 3 PPB
NO3 1

Added some nitrate and oyster magnifique tonight as well.
