Is your 'allocation' of 1st shipment skimmers enough to cover all your pre-sales? I ask as I only ordered a week ago. I'm holding out hope to be getting one of these on the 1st go round.

I knoe when I ordered mine I was the tenth person to preorder they told me but that was over 3 weeks ago, which I was surprised that the number was so low. I guess we can hope customs does not drag their feet and get the package through.

Customs can take anywhere from a few days to as long as a couple weeks. Generally they have been pretty fast though, so I'm hoping they get it through in a timely manner for us.

Anyone who preordered with us is guaranteed to get a skimmer on this shipment. We still have more available if anyone else wants to preorder for this shipment, we are still not sold out on them.

As far as purchasing from other reseller's, I can not speak for them.

Do you think this skimmer will be over sized for a 120g DT with a 30g sump?

I work with U.S. Customs all the time. I have a meeting with them tomorrow. Cant do anything to speed things along though. I'm meeting with a bunch of data center people to talk about geek type stuff.

I'm not sure if it will fit in a 30G Christmas Tree stand. If you have a ca yule log in there, it will be tight. If you can make it work, your wreath and lawn gnome will be very happy.

As long as you have a medium to heavy bioload you will be just fine. The skimmer was tested on a 105g system for a few months with a heavy load and it performed very well.

so any word yet ? or better yet any proof the shipment landed and it's in custom ?

I started a thread on the Proline forum asking for ETA and Proline ignored my question and someone deleted the thread. No big deal.

So it was 2-3 days since my last post. I don't see any changes in ETA beside all the guessing.

Jeremy are you getting your information from Proline ? are the skimmers ship directly to you or Proline in Canada ?

I probably just order one from you rather then my LFS.
