Wow, thats a little harsh coming from someone that doesnt exactly know what they are talking about. Or atlest the whole story. :)

The first 15 (I think) were going to PA and AS. Maybe just PA, I dont claim to know everything...

A few weeks after those "land" in the US, Proline will be distributing the SECOND shipment to LFS's...



Am I close Jeremy? :)
 
so why is PA and AS get the first shipment and not LFS ?

maybe I don't know much about Proline is only sell the first 15pcs to PA and AS.....but we will see about that.

Someone know please fill me in.

This thread and one of the Warner Marine skimmer threads are both overzealous in there shipping schedules. Not sure why they do that. To me it seems like incompetency. Better to say, a rough range of dates and hold to that instead committing to a date. Esp. when you have absolutely no control over shipping. Such is the life of skimmer sales... their skimmer is always the best and always the fastest to arrive. BS.
 
I was told it's a sale tactic to get the customers to wait and jump on the pre-order...."oh it's coming so place your order now we only have a few left"...then later "sorry it got delay for 3 more week"...and the story repeat itself.

I wasn't told about PA and AS get the first shipment, I will take this up with Proline and my LFS.
 
Come on guys, don't tell me you don't know how this game works? If you are really in a desperate need of a cone skimmer, just find one that IS in stock and buy that one! Otherwise, expect to wait. No delivery/arrival date is set on stone- just follow the Warner Marine cone skimmer thread- they've had their buyers wait for much longer time! (And, they are still waiting!)

Just remember that they (cone skimmers) will eventually get here, so try not to pressure the vendors, because all you are going to get are more excuses!

The first shipment was very limited & all sold in US within 1 hour of announcement to our dealers.
Canadian shops will have the cones available to them in roughly 6 weeks or so.

Sorry anne, but I disagree with your frustration.

If waiting a little longer means the difference of Klause getting something right or wrong, I have no problem with it being a week or two late... I think your forgetting the #1 theme of this hobby. Nothing good happens fast, Only bad things.

It sounds to me like you need to go yell at you LFS for not getting the whole story, Not Jeremy.

If you want to feel better about this cone being a few weeks later then you hoped, Read this Thread. ;)

Treg - I understand, I don't mind waiting a little longer because the first version first patch there usually not too good.

Klause usually change a few thing here and there to make the second or third version better.

I was frustrated because of all the " it's here" " oh not yet "...etc.

I already got a ATB cone and I love it. I don't mind the wait.

This was going strickly from memory. That number may be off.
I know I read that somewhere but I will be damn if I can find it again.

I'm sure Jeremy will clear it up. ;)

Edit: Point is, the first shipment was to be limited. Second shipment would be much larger and fill more orderes to vendors and LFS BUT would be a few weeks later...
 
Hey everyone...

There are a total of 50 skimmers coming into the US on the first shipment. I have been in direct contact with Klaus and Proline, and nothing has really been delayed at all. I think we've done pretty good so far sticking to our shipment time frames, etc. As long as customs and the trucking company can follow through pretty quickly, everyone will have their skimmer who preordered with us in a very short matter of time.

I will keep posting back here with updates as I get them.

Remember, take a deep breath and utilize patience before your next post. ;)

So let get proline involve and tell us the REAL ETA ? I bet my 65k salary that we are not going to see this skimmer for another 2-3 week or maybe more.

If your LFS was late in getting in an order for these, then there is a good chance that they will not have them until the second batch that comes into the US. This coud possibly be where the dates are getting mixed up at.
 
I was under the impression this entire time that this thing would be here sometime the end of March. I don't remember any hard dates thrown around or promised. I only remember reading "should be some time in the next couple of weeks" or "we expect them by the end of the month". Make sure you see the "should" and "we expect". It is not reading "they will for sure, mark my words, on my mothers name" be here by a certain time. Warner got everyone all in a tizzy because hard dates were thrown out and he didn't meet them. It wasn't like he did it on purpose. Things happen. These things are made by a few guys in a room somewhere. If someone's wife is sick and can't keep the kids - 2 day delay for the skimmer. If the guy has the flu - 2 day delay for the skimmer. Guys girlfriend gets caught stealing cars down by the airport - oops sorry, wrong story. This is not a huge corporation with hundreds of employees we are talking about here. It is a few dudes in a building somewhere pumping out skimmers.

Sounds to me like someone was forced to put some money down or something. I don't feel cheated out of anything since I haven't paid out any funds yet. Take my money and don't give me something and then you'll hear me crying.

I feel your pain but I agree with Heinz.
I paid several thousands of dollars over a month ago for the new GHL/Fauna Marin lights.
You have to wait, patiently, for the good stuff. :bum:
