Royal-Exclusiv / Vertex Cone Coming Soon!!!!

Do you stop accepting the order the skimmer for the promotion price before Marine Aquarium Expo in LA which is in 4/4 and 5?

The promo price will be available for a little while, although we don't have a confirmed date on when that will go on. As soon as the first shipment is here within about a week and a half the free shipping promo will be gone however.

I will be getting one of these skimmers for review. I hope that this will help all of you get a great look of this skimmer. I will take pics and video of the unit once I get it. I live in the same state so I should be able to get this next day after they ship. I look forward to this skimmer. More so now after owning a bubble king skimmer. Simply amazing build quality and build performance out of the bubbleking. So I assume that this will be nothing less.

Jeremy,

Has the shipment date been pushed back? It seems these have been out a week and a half for a while lol.

Unless I miscalculated, when I preordered mine around the first week of March I thought I read that the estimate for hitting the states was last week.

Whenever it gets here, I'll be happy, but I feel like a kid a week and a half before Christmas :)

Not yet, unfortunately. We are still shooting for an arrival here in the states the end of this week / weekend. We'll have the first shipment of these skimmers in the US, so we'll have them all headed out the door to everyone who preordered with us right away.

We're very excited, and can't wait to get everyone's feedback once they're here!

I have a ~300 gal reef system med-large bio-load and am looking at upgrading from my Bermuda 8C.

What are your thoughts on an upgrade to this skimmer, vs a ReeFlo Orca 200? I am open to both internal and external skimmer options.

I guess the big things that stands out is the power usage, but besides that, what are thoughts / comparisons?

Thanks,
Craig

This skimmer is going to be a heck of a lot more efficient than an ORCA 200. As far as quality of skimmate goes, they are going to very comparable to one another, however you will have about four times the power draw between the recirc pump and the feed pump combined with the ORCA 200.

Quality of construction is a no brainer with the Royal-Exclusiv products. There isn't a skimmer on the market that can touch their quality, and they are a leader in performance as well.

For your size system I think you would be just fine, however if you ever went larger then you're probably going to want something bigger to be honest.

Jeremy, thanks for your response. I have a few other questions regarding some of the other skimmers you sell. As not to divert the focus of this thread I will send you a PM.

SeanT - The ALPHA 300 that is coming will have a 12" base on it, and most likely a Red Dragon 2000 pump, although not confirmed yet.

moondoggy & ronreef - There is no ETA on the smaller ones yet, although it shouldn't be a really long wait. The ALPHA 170 will have a 6.75" base, and the ALPHA 200 will have a 8" base to it. I do not know pump specs or overall heights on these yet.

I know for a fact that the smaller cones will be available before the beginning of summer for sure. That was the definitive word from Klaus.

I'll keep this thread updated as more information comes in to me on the smaller ones.

We are only about a week and a half or so away from the 250's landing here in the US. The 250 was the first brought to market as this one has been determined to be the most popular from overall size of system it can handle (100g - 400g), and price point (Sub $1k to your door if pre-ordering!).

Thanks,
Jeremy
Moondoggy, I have not seen any updates since earlier this month as this quote above is from 3/16. I'm curious about the pricing on these smaller units as I will be comparing them with a couple other smaller cones that are out there before making a final decision. Maybe they will run promo pricing along with free shipping to make the price point a bit more appealing in an uncertain economy and to compete with other domestic cones such as the i-tech which is getting great reviews. Time will tell.

If this ends up being 3 months then I'll let all of you come to Indianapolis and personally beat me over the head!

In all honesty, I really don't think it will come to that. :)

just a reminder for everybody,

just in case

I was told today that they should be landing right at 3 weeks, and we'll be able to ship in approximately 3.5 weeks.
tomorrow will be 5 weeks. :eek1:

Guys, they should have landed yesterday, I will have confirmation on that tomorrow. Keep in mind that we can only go as fast as what customs allows. I'm hoping they clear it pretty quick though.

I was following this thread from the beginning and it seem like there is no ETA on this skimmer. It was stated 2.5 week that was like 4 weeks ago.

Jeremy B. are you sure it's landed in the US ? I was told by a LFS that most of BK are ship by sea, I doubted that this new vertex skimmers are being ship by air and I also doubted that it's arrive yesterday, today or tomorrow.

The last time I spoke to my LFS ( yesterday ), they showed me the email from proline ( albert ) ....it's going to be another 2-4 more week until we see this vertex skimmer.

Anyone want to bet that the vertex skimmer is here in the USA yesterday ? or better yet another week or two ?

The reason I got so upset of all the delay and lying about it here next week, then it's here tomorrow....I ordered mine thru a LFS and I am tire of this waiting game.

So let get proline involve and tell us the REAL ETA ? I bet my 65k salary that we are not going to see this skimmer for another 2-3 week or maybe more.
