Sand around crocea syphon?

I have a crocea that would not stay put on the rocks. I decided to leave it in the sand and it seems just fine. It has dug itself pretty deed into the sand though. It's so deep you can hardly see the shell with the mantle opened up.

The clam gets quite a bit of sand settled around the inlet syphon. Is this going to be a problem for the clam? It does not seem to bother it at all.

It was fun watching the clam work it's way deeper and deeper into the sand. It also moved it's way accross the sand a couple of inches. Pretty wild stuff:) .

I've wonder about that as well. I have mine also sitting on the sand near where my adult red coris sleeps and you know they can dig up some sand before bedtime. Anyways I've seen her spitting the sand that gets in back out from time to time. I'm just wondering if it's going to have any long term effects?
