SaraB's 268 Gallon Build¦ Try #3!

Very nice Sara :) We can't get those tanks out here on the west coast :)

Where are the new fishies

I'm saving the first pics for Gary ;) He's been traveling for work, so just waiting for him to be "grounded" for a while to catch some photos of the new fish :fish2:

Worked on the basement all weekend and re-arranged some of the hubbys basement office to fit my new 45G cube into it. It's larger than the 29G Biocube Got the black background on the cube and cleared out the corner for it. Just need to get it plumbed now :)

Black background applied:

On the other side of the wall is the fishroom. The pipes on the left are just placed there to make sure I didn't have to drill larger holes through the wall. They fit, so we are good to go!

The cube looks great. What have you decided to keep in it?

Thanks! I'm looking to add little colorful fish that would get lost in the big tank.

Current fish moving into the cube:
Tomini Tang (maybe)
Tailspot Blenny
Blue Assessor

Other fish need to purchase yet:
Cave Basslet (pair)
Helfrichi firefish (pair)
Pair of cool sand goby's & shrimp

That's my current plan at the moment!

Sara,
I am looking forward to your pictures of the new fishy additions :D. That fish room is to drool over. I think it is the same size as my living room :(.

What are your favorite flasher wrasses??

Hopefully I can get some updated pics up soon!

Thanks, I know I'm blessed with the big fishroom in the basement.

My favorite flasher wrasse is the P. attenuatus ;)

I guess that is the trade off for living in the gorgeous wine country and never having to deal with snow...but I like snow. Hmmmmm, we have often looked at what we could live in if we moved elsewhere. We always come back to the same answer, we love where we live and a smaller house works for us...just not for my fish tank ;).

We were out in Napa last October and it was simply beautiful! I had forgotten you lived there and Mark reminded me of that after I was already home ... I'll let you know next time!

We are here for the jobs and the money and hope to move where we love or vacation more in those areas when we retire (if there's such a thing by then) ;)

As long as it no further as you guys are from us now. Emma needs her Alicia in her life

Nice list! Is it going to be most LPS for corals?

Read my signature ... my husband likes ricordea and zoas so I have to put some of those in there to keep him happy since I'm invading his office with the tank. I'll also put in some of my lps; being some favias and micromussa and maybe a stray chalice or two. It does have the Metal Halide, so maybe I'll sneak in a stick or two as well ;)

I guess we know who wears the pants in this house :lolspin:

He did put his foot down and say no femininus, BUT if I use my personal fish funds ... then go ahead ;)
