Great setup Kevin...

I am modifying my plan because I was going to plump the DT to a sump in the basement ( laundry room with sink/floor drain/etc.) on the other side of the house- but that would require a 12 foot run with the pipes being nearly horizontal ( in the space between the floor joists above the basement ceiling). I am not confident the siphon will work properly on the Bean Animal overflow with the 12 foot long horizontal run. So, I have decided to re-arrange my basement and put the sump directly below the DT . Then build a mixing station of RODI and Mixed Salt water (for water changes) in the laundry room and use pipes/pumps to get water back and forth from the sump area for water changes. Even thought the sumps area will not have a flow drain - I think it is overall a better plan rather than a 12 foot horizontal drain run which may , or may not hold a siphon.

Word of caution on the stands with these. Have some extra cam locks on hand. I broke four of them before I figured out the cam screws don't need to be tightened all the way. They bind up and snap. The instructions are horrible on these but very solid and awesome quality. The plumbing should be fun since I've never done it and no instructions lol

Do you place foam under your tanks to reduce pressure points?

Is everyone happy with the aquarium seams and the general construction of the tanks and wood stands/canopies? I am interested in 120 gallon set up.

My tank itself is awesome, great quality glass and nice silicone work/seams.
I'm a carpenter so I build my own stands anyway, so not much to say there other than I would avoid MDF, but I believe they have solid wood stands available now

Inside painted with two coats primer and three coats paint. Letting it dry now then onto the plumbing!

I would throw some caulk in the corners so you don't have any seepage into the innards of the MDF.

The tank quality is really good. I was decently surprised. I have always built my own stands, so no input there.

My stand came with 6 cups for the legs but only enough holes for four of them. Do they just give extras or was I supposed to put those in the middle and make the holes for them?

Since I wanted to lay out the weight more then just 4 pressure points, I did not use the legs on my MDF stand. But my 80 also came with 6 legs and only 4 holes.

If anybody has the 150 (64 x 24 x 24) tank. Please, can you measure how far the eurobrace overhangs the back of the tank ( the distance from the back eurobrace rim that creates the opening of the tank, to the back of the inside of the tank) . I am configuring a internal/external Bean Animal style set up. So , if my internal overflow box is covered completely by the eurobrace I wont be able to get bulkheads inside it. Also if anybody has their solid wood canopy on the 150 - can you tell me how much of the top of the tank is covered by it = how far down can I have my surface water line and still not be able to see it with the canopy on?

As for the canopy you mount the bracing to it yourself so you can have it sit low on the tank BUT that sacrifices the height for the lighting.

Okay. This plumbing is going to make me pull my hair out. It makes no sense. My system has 3 holes.What is the purpose of the pipe on the left with the cap? Hole filler? Emergency drain?

Ditch the plumbing. Its there for the system to be called PNP (plug and play) but I dont think anyone actually uses it in the end.

Thank you again Soulpatch - OK, that's great news on the canopy= then you can probably change the height of the canopy relative to the top of the tank, if necessary, even after putting the canopy together initially, just in case my plan to have the tank water surface only .5 - 1 inch down from the top of the tank doesn't work properly.
