Thanks biggles :)

Mate if you want a frag of the seri all you have to do is ask :lolspin:
On a serious note tho that's the boss ladies favourite coral so I can't be getting rid of that otherwise I'll be living in the dog house.....again! ;)

I just watched your video on page 1 and then checked out your recent photos...wow, so much growth! Your tank brings a new meaning to "full". ;)

It's even shocked me how quick it's grown to be honest

Scotty, you are one of those naturals.

PS. Are you still using the same T5 combination? I am very likely to follow your footsteps on this. My tubes changes is due in August. However, I am not sure if I really need Purple + though. Which colours does it enhance? I may purchase an extra coral + to replace it with in case it subdues pinks.

Hi Bulent and thank you :)

Yes mate I'm still running the same tube combo, I do notice a difference in my reds and pinks when it's time for a change. Adding another coral+ will add that colour as they have 10% purple/pink anyway :)

In your experience, does purple+ mask any colours? Someone on RC suggested that reds are subdued under purple+ and that to bring up this colour coral+ would be a better choice.

Have you tried a different tube in place of purple+ in the past?

Take it out when Tammy is away and dip the whole thing in fresh water for 30 mins and then put it back in the display. Over the next 24 hrs we both know what will happen and Tammy will never know - this stays between the two of us because Tammy will go right off if she finds out you asked me how to get rid of her Seri

..... and of course i'm joking about dipping a living seri in fresh water for 30 mins........ those things are tough and an hour is way more appropriate

Thanks.

Interesting question Bulent. I'll be looking forward to seeing what our expert Scott has to say.

I've never found purple to mask any colours mate, there was a stage early on in the build where I was running 4 purple+. I found that only to cause algae issues especially on the sand bed. I would agree that if the amount of bulbs is limited then yes coral+ would be a much better choice for overall colours my friend :)

Expert? I'm far from that buddy hahahaha ;)

Hahahhaha ok buddy I'll go that extra half an hour just for you ;) cold or hot tap water mate?

I think the best tube for reds and purple is KZ's fiji purple

Fiji purple are an excellent bulb Tiziano :) unfortnately the KZ tubes are hard to get down in Aus and if you do find them they are a lot more expensive!

Don't ask me mate, Wrangy is the one who started this whole 'let's kill Tammi's seri' thing. I don't want to get dragged into the mess you two have got yourselves into......:reading:
