I've never found purple to mask any colours mate, there was a stage early on in the build where I was running 4 purple+. I found that only to cause algae issues especially on the sand bed. I would agree that if the amount of bulbs is limited then yes coral+ would be a much better choice for overall colours my friend

Have you tried to get them directly from Germany?

I use three German online retailers for dry goods. One of them supplies KZ tubes. Its customer service is very good too. You get additional warranty on dry goods on top of usual manufacturers' warranty with this particular online retailer. Returns are free. Pm me if you need its details. :lol2:

Just wanted to share that this thread was my inspiration to my own 4x4x2 tank.
Filtration is 2) 40 gallon breeders, connected, and i have a 50 gallon SPS dominated tank attached, thru the wall.
Just got this baby running about a month ago, and I did it all with just a $3000 budget.
i'll be following along on this thread, to help me get to where you guys are.
