SeanT 's 300 gallon Cube-esque project.

Electrician came yesterday, that's right Sunday AM, while I was sleeping.

My wife, as a Father's Day present, had the electrician come to put in an additional 4 -20 amp circuits, each on its own 4 way outlet.
*She has heard me talking about doing it and took the initiative*
Two in the garage (sump room) and 2 in the tank room.

Very sweet of her. :)

Of course having him come at 8 am (and waking me up to explain what I was wanting) when I got home and in bed from work at 5 am was a little rough...but still, it was nice.

Really?
I have found with the real estate bubble popping that all kinds of handyman: plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc. are not only available, but if you have it in you to negotiate their rates you can get the work done for less.

My tank gets delivered TODAY!!!
Make sure that you have the batteries all charged up in your camera!

Some holes wern't drilled that were supposed to be.

I am going to call the manufacturer when it is late enough PST.

What a PITA bro, sorry to hear that.

FWIW, I drilled another hole in my 3/4" thick acrylic tank for another CL outlet, and it was easy as pie. I was scared off of my wits before doing it (never drilled acrylic before), but it came out perfect.

Obviously thats no consilation for them screwing up, but I thought I'd throw that in there.

Glad to hear that it arrived in one piece though, and keep us posted on their response, and tank construction!

Hey Sean.
Just caught up on your thread. If you need a hand with anything give me a shout, I'm back in Wilmington for good.
Not sure about those hangers. The costco one looks a bit more stable, have you thought about attaching it to rails as well so you can slide it off the entire tank as well as lifting the lights up and down?

kdblove,
I am working that out with the manufacturer.
He said he is going to ship me the hole saws and I will drill them myself.
A bit of a pain but no big deal I guess. :)
