SeanT 's 300 gallon Cube-esque project.

Any reason why you didn't want to use the profilux to create waves instead of the wavebox?

Also, what happened to Steve?

I have been inquiring into the same thing as of late because I will be running a Profilux on my new system, and I want supplemental waves/random flow along with my CL, and I've been getting answers along the lines of:

'If you need strictly alternating back 'n' forth flow, you cant beat the wave box. But they cant be used on their own, so if you need alternating flow with some linearity, or "push" behind them, get the controllable streams.'

However somebody in a local forum of mine has some wicked waves going in his 180 with two streams on a Profilux.

I, by no means, have made a final desicion nor do I have first hand experience with either products, so I'm very interested in replies as well....

the reason being is that the wave boxes push a lot of water back and forth, but don't do much to keep detritus in suspension.

I have the waveboxes so I am using them. :)
They are great at getting oxygen, food to and removing waste from the corals.

I also have FOUR controllable streams as well as an Oceans Motions 8 way outletting through 8 different points through the floor of the tank.

As well has a Sequence Hammerhead as my return.

I think I have all aspects of flow covered. ;)

Well, I can get a decent sized wave in my 60g cube (granted, it's only 60g) from a pair of 6055s. They are placed up high in the tank and I imagine if I put them lower, I could get a decent back and forth from them.

Steve who? :D

You. Just wonder if you got the boot. I saw the 'moved on' next to your name. I was hoping we didn't lose the 'flow master'.
