Sorry about all the stand pics.

I am trying to shou detail in case anyone else was like me...needing it. ;)

Are those treated 4x4s? I sure hope not as you might have some rebuilding to do......check out the first couple pages here

In summary, treated lumber is not 100% dry (in fact it very "wet") so that when it does try it can twist or crack making your stand off level. Additionally the way it is treated uses harsh chemicals, like copper among other things, that if you splash water on you could possibly contaminate your tank with. Best to stick with pine. At least its easier to fix now then later, unless of course its not treated at all :D

The 4x4's are treated.
They are nothced and attached on all sides.
I am hoping they will dry out straight.

If not, then I will be screeewwwed. lol

Love the picture of the CL plumbing Sean. Why did you go with an 8 way as opposed to 2 - 4 way OMs? 1 less pump to worry about?

The project has stalled a bit due to me waiting on a few things from the manufacturer to fix some slight issues.

That, and the fact that the thing is so big and heavy that just getting it moved around to do things like drill holes in the top of the stand for th CL takes some scheduling with people. :(

The parts from the manufacturer have arrived but the Weld-On I ordered hasn't arrived yet.

Tomorrow hopefully. :)

Its gonna be sweet once you get everything set up. Thanks to your rock cooking thread I have now rid my tank of HA :D

Chrisrush,
The extra pump is part of the reason and that with 2 Tunze Waveboxes, 4 streams and 3 return lines I feel the flow should be sufficient.

I am debating on whether to add a few of these in the closed loop mix.

Sean, I use the revolutions and think they are very much worthwhile. Only downside is their size, which is a little large.

I've seen the OM revos running before a couple times and they are very cool, but I highly agree with AcroSteve in that they're an eye sore (at least how I saw them set-up). Where would you implement them Sean?

Steve,
Do you use the ones designed for the bottom of the tank?
Thanks,
Sean

Stunreefer,
This model is designed to be on the bottom of the tank, not the ones used for returns.
I would most likely hide these in the rock work.
If I use them it would be one or two of them.
Sean

Oh no way! I was not aware of those, I thought they all were mounted "up-and-down" persay. Do you have a link by chance?
