Serenity Reef

That echinata just pops!! In the full tank view it just stands out. It's amazing how sometimes adding a really top notch coral can boost your mood and enthusiasm. Tank is looking good.

Kicking goals from all angles Nils! :D looking fantastic man, always an inspiration to me! :)

Nice to grow frags out with you mate. So many colonies bought from our great LFS in Aus and I always wonder where they go... I wish I knew ....

I'd say wanna race but the lack of calcium has my growth fairly non-existent :( haha bumping it up slowly and already getting a good response :)
All the richie rich's with big-*** tanks are getting them, us sort of little sps addicts can't afford to take up that much room with gorgeous colonies! haha

I went "shopping" yesterday and bought a special fish for this tank...
My wife has left to go shopping for a new dress - we have an understanding , she does not ask how much the fish cost and I don't ask about the dress cost.
Fish is in quarantine so still a fish less tank to show you.
This video is an attempt to improve on the last offering. Hope you enjoy!

Odd.. I can't get the video to work for me.. I'm quoting in hopes the link will work..

Nope.. Even in Vimeo, it won't play.. Strange..

Love your sump set up. very tidy.

since your tank currently have no fish what are you feeding the corals? and when are you planning to put the fish back in?

I was wondering because when i had no fish in my tank for some period of time my sps and lps suffered

Great video, wave crashing seagull soundtrack was a nice touch. Looks like you've got the making of a outstanding reef. Love the Acan bommie

Worked!
Nice!!
I like how you placed all the different types of birds nests over on the left hand island.
This will look great when it all grows in.

Yeah i agree, might as well make a pocil forest while you're at it........

Thanks for the comments fellow reefers!

Hehehe, one island has two or three green pocci with one pink and green polyp pocci - and a green seri on top to boss them about. Green seri might get replaced with purple pocci one day when he starts playing up.

Really happy to have A. Granulosa next to Echinata , could turn into treasure island or something:dance:

Was cool to find one of mine on battle corals list , simply the fact that it now has a name : he calls it battlejuice!

Colors look to be maintaining even though the tank is fishless. Are you dosing anything to keep nutrients in the tank? I liked both videos. :)

Hi Guys,
My tinkering got the better of me and caused me dramas.
Ran the tank fishless for 12 weeks whilst my new beauties were in quarantine.
One day I spotted some planaria and foolishly dealt with them causing an unstoppable chain reaction. Needless to say I won the war on planaria at the expense of my SPS.

After a restart and cycle I tried a few test corals... My blue thumb turned out to be a brown thumb as even GSP and Xenia melted.

Serenity reef has filed for a name change and is now the holiday tank.
