Serenity Reef

Looking good!
That sump is so clean!

Cheers mate, things are improving all round regarding this tank.
Giving it the attention it deserves , rewarding me with some great colour too.

Picked up some great frags during the week and spent around three hours trying to glue them down today.... Amongst them my new favourite ,this treasure!!!
Got no idea of ID if anyone knows pls feel free to drop a name!
Cheers!

Tank is looking great! I will enjoy watching this one grow, thanks for the update. That is a beautiful acro. :D

Cheers to all that stopped by , I got that echinacea to keep my mind off the recent fish disaster that the tank experienced, it was tragic to see my fish die. Obviously I did what best I could to save them....

The tank looks strange without fish, the corals are all doing very well and the mysis shrimp now rule the tank. The mysis boldly crawl all over the tank both day and night.

The plan is to leave the aquarium fishless for as long as I can wait.... I thought 3 months but my LFS says about 6 weeks should be ok.....

In the mean time - exploring the world of a fishless aquarium it will be good to see the effect on the protein skimmer and the biofilm on the glass, it's too early to tell if the corals are going pale from lack of fish poop.

Kind of thinking along the lines of keeping fish numbers limited to say a pair of something in the future.

Need to glue down the stray frags and do some aquascaping , look forward to sharing some photos once that's done.

Best Regards

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you think about the fishless tank and your insights on it all :)

I'm happy to hear all the corals are doing well though! :)

Guys - just a quick happy snap as promised.
Need to take a shot of the two foot side as I guess I've set that up for viewing as I walk down the hallway. Can't take pic now as added coral snow.

Thanks Sahin , @ Dessertreefer , mate it's an Aussie Echinata

Looks great buddy. Keep up the nice work. The SPS have very decent colour. That fuzz on the rocks will disappear in time. Maybe get some snails and hermits if you want it gone quicker.

Nice and simple tank I love it.

The ATI light fixture would definitely bring out the potential of the SPS's.

Thanks guys!
Here's more .... Kinda always wanted a two foot cube, if I did have one here's that perspective FTS , lol

what is that I am in love, sorry newbie. Love the stand awesome work, I wasnt paying attention did you build everything yourself?

Hey buddy, I got a friend to build the tank for me as his silicone skills are great.
I got a stainless fabricator to do the stainless.
The timber and plumbing was me. :lmao:
