Both very nice tanks, one new and one not so new I see. :)

That is a very nice softie setup with some nice color contrasts. Is that a Ritteri Anemone? If so, congrats as it looks very healthy and happy.

You running leds on yours jbfloor? If so what are you using? You have some nice rockwork going on in there, love the mini pillars and think they'll look nice when coral grow into the space.

I am in the market for a new skimmer. Any suggestions? I have a 10 gal sump, and currently using a Reef Octopus BH-50.

Sorry, I didn't see you reply until just now.

I am using a RapidLed DIY system with 72 LED's (48 Royal Blue and 24 Cool White). I was using 80 degree lenses, but removed them because it caused too intense ripples.

Next year I am planning to replace the current canopy with a DIY one that will allow me to raise the lights by a couple of inches and I want to redo the LED layout to minimize the blue/white rippling effect.

What is everyone's thoughts on a 72x24x18 tank on a 32" tall stand? I am in a 2nd floor apt so trying to get 24" of depth without going to a 180G.

Should I make the stand taller?

That is what I am thinking. I want to make sure there is enough space under the stand to work.

I wish mine was about 6" taller so that I had more space under the stand. As it is there is just enough space for the sump and plumbing. The actual height inside the sump area is 19", 25" would have been alot better. Unfortunately, this would have had the top of my stand touching the ceiling.

I would make it taller. I have two so I was trying to measure what would look right if I only had one and 45" comes closer to eye level without having to bend down and look in the tank. In my pic above, the tank would be just about between the two tanks.

Beautiful tank there Boboli...love the valleys in it. Very clean design underneath too. Do you have panels that you can take on or off as needed or is it always open like that?

ps- while I think your tank is very nice your avatar pic on the other hand would probably scare smaller children lol. ;)
