Shark tank updates

How is this thread still going?

Interested in how this turns out. I, like your girlfriend, support your ideas. I don't have any money though so that doesn't really help. Cool idea using a sunken helicopter. Personally, i'd find a submarine since everyone knows sharks prefer subs.

how many times have i told you to stay off the internet? and how many times have i told you to get a job? i'm sick of supporting these hair brained ideas of yours.

leave these nice people alone.

Extremely funny :lolspin:

So after doing some more research it doesn't seem like a thrasher shark will work, but a sand shark is ok. Makos are pretty cool but I don't think it will work. Any suggestions what other shark? I only want two. What stingrays live around Long Island? Another question I have is my filter is a big steel container. I put sand and rocks from the jetty in the container. I left the lid open with a light. Will the lack of lighting effect the filtration? I put charcoal in the chlorine dispenser. There are also two pre-filter strainers. There are a lot of small helicopters. Most helicopters aren't ment to carry cannons and rockets like Blackhawks and apaches. I this thinking a one person recon helicopter. It's a indoor pool. It's in a garage/sunroom type structure.

Next update will come on Sunday. If I can dream it I will do it.

You want to put a fish that is IUCN listed as vulnerable to extinction that gets up to 20ft long in a 50x50 pool? And then crash a metal helicopter into it which will rust and eventually kill the sharks if not already dead?

Sounds like a solid plan to me.

This isn't sustainable you will watch you livestock slowly die because of lack of filtration and water quality. Doesn't sound like you are around this "pool" enough to even fill it up let alone have it maintained well enough to have anything live long term.

Looks legit!!! :lolspin:

Specially loved the intro!!!

Edit:
Awwww.... you took down your video?!!?

Please! I beg you! Do not subject any animals to your absurd vision. Charcoal? Rocks from the jetty? Please! Just stop before you kill innocent animals.

If your really doing this, please skip sinking anything in the pool and leave it bare. 1 scratch in the shark can kill it, not like putting a 20' shark in a small pool isnt helping much either.

That metal filter canister alone makes it a no go. First, the salt will rot it out in a very short time. Secondly, any metal exposure to the water will be lethal to sharks. At a minimum you would need to totally revamp the filtration system, not just to remove any metal components, to also upgrade the filtration to handle the needs of the animals. A quick off the cuff estimate, you will need to sink about 8 thousand dollars into the filtration system...that figure assumes your capable of performing the work yourself to plan the system and install it. Quadruple that figure if you need a professional like myself to do it for you. Should you want to discharge to the ocean, you will need permits from the DEC...not easy to get, especially for a private individual. It will be required to treat the discharge water, which will also require filtration systems for the effluent. As for shark species, stick to dogfish and sandbar sharks. As for "sting" rays, your stuck with skates locally.

And seriously as I said last time, it is THRESHER shark. Clearly you have done plenty of research since you are so clear on what it is called. :banghead:

If sharks were easy keepers, or if you could just fill a pool with ocean water and pump it through pumps designed for chlorinated freshwater don't you think a bunch of people would be doing it?

Why even bother doing water changes if you are going to use filthy water from the beach? That is like me saving up what my skimmer skims out and using it for water changes. You would need to go miles off shore to find decent water.

Why even bother having them in the pool in the first place? Viewing them will be difficult if not impossible.

I keep waiting for the post where you say you are going to attach laser beams to their heads.

Stay classy Dr. Evil.

Hey I dont know why people are giving him such a hard time. This is visionary work we are witnessing. I mean, an enormous shark along side a helicopter in a residential pool dumping unidentified waste water into the ocean? This guy has managed to draw attention from PITA, the EPA, the FAA and probably homeland security all at the same time. Attach it all to a rocket and you can get the NASA stamp of approval as well.
