Show me your blue acros!

True Oregon tort coral was in abundance here in middle TN for a while as a veteran reefer had a really nice colony and it was spreading around the area. He got out and sold the colony to a LFS and they ended up losing it. No its super hard to find. I had a piece at one point and sold it figuring there was plenty around and now I am regretting it. It was the Real Deal!

I really wonder how much true Oregon tort is in Canada..
It must have gotten 'sneaked' up here at some point or another..
Love those first two shots, baros..

WOW! That is stunning. Nice job man. I searched for over a year before I finally got a real oregon tort and I must say it was absolutely worth every second of the wait! Ive had it for about 6 months now and its grown about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Even though it grows painfully slow the color makes up for it. IMO there is not another coral on earth of any shade that can rival it. Ill get a pic up tomorrow!

Here is my Acropora gomezi:

Holy is that a chalice (green with pink centre) with that growth pattern? Any progression shots? How on earth did it grow in that shape?

I have photos when it was small but don't know how to get them from computer to my photo bucket. This coral started on a flat plug and grew around the plug instead of flat. So I glued a plug with the nipple on the bottom of that plug and it just grew around the nipple and onto the next plug making it look like a Nuclear explosion. This coral is 6yrs old started from one eye BGM Now you know the secret don't tell anyone.

Hey Chris, My Miami had a bubble like yours and its now dropping babies from that spot. Tank looks good.

Awesome pics everyone. That chalice is really cool I love the growth structure! Ive always been an acro guy but recently picked up my first chalica about a month ago. Its almost grown to cover the plug completely. If you dont mind I think im going to steal your idea of stacking plugs!!

To get back on topic I managed to get a few shots of my oregon tort tonight. Im going to have to get out the digital camera because this iphone pic is pathetic!! I will still share none the less. To the OP, there are quite a bit of blue acros out there but if your looking to replace your OT you should go for another OT!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1390458864.399861.jpg
