Nice DaddyJax but isn't the green one a prostrata?

Anyway I've got the a yellow, pink, hot pink with blue tip, and a ORA scripps but AI just ordered the last millie I was looking for....

The ORA blue millie. Should be here Friday.

Woohoo!

I got a new Milli yesterday, still acclimating.

Is the crab on the bottom is a type of good acro crab or bad?

thanks

Your milli doesn't look so good. Is it really that white? Or am I just not seeing any color in that pic?

White milli's seem to be popping up. I got one too and was told they are that way. Mine has great polyp extension so I'm not too worried. That's the bandit type crab which is the good one.

Hey guys, two questions.

1) what sort of lighting/flow do millis prefer best?

2) and has anyone visited atlantis aquariums instead of purchasing online? It's about 4 hr drive from my house and I'm planning to drive and pick up what I like w/ my own eyes. Is it worth the drive?

Thanks

White is bad, there is not a white Zooxanthellae species I am aware of... this indicates the lack thereof which is bad for the coral... without its benificial phototrophic organisms namely the Zooxanthellae or Pigment within the tissues it can not make food (ATP/NADH?) for itself thereby starving.

hum... now that I think about it, what type of cellular energy do corals make??? is it ATP or NAD+ or NADH? anyone know?

Now that I think about this white coral...

Its funny because terrestrial animals, and humans being terrestrial associate Brown or Black with death or decay, not white... although, white is concidered clean and light, fresh, alive, some people MIGHT concider it sickly....

{end rant}

That's what I thought as well but they've been at a couple different LFS's from different suppliers. Mine has lots of polyp extension to so ?? Normally I would say they're bleached and will color up or die. Dyed is a possibility too. I went ahead an took a chance since I was doing it on trade for some orange monti cap frags which I had a ton of.

I really have to think it is dying or in severe shock from too much light, lost its zooxanthellae from some odd reason or is on its way out in the very near future.

different suppliers dont mean anything, if they are collecting them from around the same area ... they are probably subject to wild bleaching phenomenon.

lol, orange caps, DONT WE ALL HAVE A TON!

I get 15 bucks each at my LFS! I have 2 other LFS's that don't have any either that I need to drop the mother colony a few times on the floor and make a few dozen!
