if the Simu-L is using two channels, how can the splitter work with it?

All that says is that if you 2 simu spot and they can driver both by one port and a splitter. You can't plug a Simu-L into L1L2 and then put a spliter and plug a tunze in there.

No mather what you do once you have the Simu you need to 2 L ports, to drive one or two Simu. They both react the same, if you want to have diff react then you need 4 ports.

Right I see what you mean, no way to double up those particular LEDs.

So at miniumim I need:

2 Simu Spots:
L1L2
L1L4

2 display TunzeStream 6201:
L5L6

Looks like I'm out of luck for the 6101 in the garage, unless I can somehow split the L5L6 again and have the 6101 behave exactly like one of the others?

You can multi split a port but of course it will act the same down the channel line as it has been programmed, this is how you can have 4 goups of Tunzes on one channel

To clarify the simus

If you have one or two simu's they only will take up 1 port i.e L1L2

The way it waorks is the the Blue uses one channel for instants L1 (factory standard) and the Red uses L2 (factory standard)

So if you have two Simu's you will need a splitter and they both then will fire off the same port L1L2

You can put both on individual ports but there is no point

Argh Ok gotta ya, so yes you are using up another port then.

You can got up to a max of 10 L ports so you are fine for this expansion if ever required

I fastened my two in the center of my canopy and then directed one to the right and one to the left.

I had a hard time setting mine up due to the size of my luminarc reflectors. I probably should have got the strips instead.
