Skimmer for 325 gallons...

You would be crazy to not go with a Deltec AP701 (or even a AP702 depending on needs). Recirc vs. non-recirc. In or out sump vs. in-sump only. Eheim vs. Sedra. Deltec vs. EuroReef. 52w vs. 90w.

What's there to think about?

I prefer re-circs over in sumps, but if cost or space is too much of a concern, you can still design your sump to where you're not recirculating sump water. If you can afford the 702, its an incredible skimmer. I am using Chucks old one right now.

But in your case with such a large tank - IMO you need at LEAST dual Eheims (1800LPH), or dual 2001 Aquabees (1300LPH) or even three (2000LPH). Check with Zoom, he has a 200G and went from a 851 to a 902 and see what he says about going larger.

Given your space and budget concerns, here is a great in-sump model with 3x2001 for just over a grand. It's 23.5" and should produce just as much air as a dual Eheim.

Check out this tank who uses it -

I would guess that a 3x2001 in-sump would outskim a 1x1260 external, for about the same price.
