Slug Puffing Smoke!!!!

There is a slug in my tank.. that puffs smoke... i kd you not... what is it? is it harmful?

its normal, i have a few in mine, and its does that every now and then, i think its just discreting waste....

My stomatella varia snails do that all the time. They're spawning. What's really cool is - you will often see all of them doing it at exactly the same time....or at least within a few seconds. Weird!!

They spawn simultaneously due to chemical cues. One spawns, which releases chemicals that trigger the others. Without synchronization, the spawns would be far less successful.

It's likely that what is being seen is a spawn. A picture might help identify the organism.
