small clown killed by filter intake?

i was pretty bummed to find my little tank raised true percula stuck to my fluval C4 (similar to a aquaclear 70) filter intake this morning. he may have died first and then got sucked onto the intake.. but i'm just worried that it was the reverse. are small clowns susceptible to this kind of thing? they don't seem like the best swimmers

I'm not sure but I've found that my fish that have been stuck on any of my suctions is they were to weak and if they wasn't already dead was almost there. Sorry for your loss

It could have gone ether way I would put some mesh over the. Intake sorry for your loss

99.9% he died and the current moved him there.

I have 5 week old clowns that are 3/8" long that swim in current that is 300-400 GPH.
